Had he been this sick as he was portrayed, and now getting to know how lovingly pampered he was, his family would have never left him suffering.

He wasn't suicidal in my opinion. Not even one bit.

And if for a second I do think he was , that leaves rhea in a very bad light.

And , if he did commit suicide , and it was a moment's weakness , sudden pang of absolute hopelessness , then one failed attempt of doing it from rope (as per the police) was enough to snap him back from that moment.

Even suicidal people don't go for multiple attempts in a single day.!

I am a practicing psychiatrist and that somehow gives me enough experience to talk about bipolar disorders but this is certainly not the right place and our exposures to Sushant is very less to claim why and how was his brain working.

You or anyone can believe firmly he committed suicide , I want to stick to what I believe. I am not discarding the possibility. Ofcourse he could have had ended his life , but I al also trying to look at things thay don't add up.

How he was found is more important that what he did previously. Despite being extremely heart-breaking , his photo after his passing away have left many questions in my mind.

It is tough to live through depression and suicidal thoughts. Very few people have spine to support someone in depression or any mental health issues. Most of the common people do not understand such things. They consider such things as madness or black magic.

That's the whole point! You could be SRK or Tom Cruise. You could be Sushant Singh Rajput, an absolute trailblazer for outsiders or you could be an Aftab Shivdasani, depression doesnt come only to so-called "unsuccessful" people.

People make fun of Deepika but I admire her for highlighting something important- you could have the world at your feet (to the outside world) but that doesnt insulate you from depression. People think when I make it big, I ll become happy. But it doesnt work like that.. and you have to constantly work at your mental health, reach out, not cut yourself off from people. surround yourself with people who care about YOU and not what you do professionally,

Having said that, were some people not nice to him? Or trying to compete with him through bad PR? Yes of course! But that's only one piece of the puzzle. The biggest piece or rather takeaway for all his fans should be how to not take our mental health for granted.

Most of his fans are busy spewing hate against any one who does not agree to their views. Mental health is still at a very nascent stage in India. Only depression which is taken seriously is postpartum depression for new moms. Doctors actually come and counsel the new moms. If the doctor might feel that patient might harm themselves, baby or anyone else, clinical diagnosis and therapy begins immediately.

I have never contested that he must have been battling depression but having depression and being suicidal are two very different things.

People suffering from depression like to hide their problems and pain. Most of them put a brave face before others. They will immerse themselves in anything they can get hold off. All this is done to keep mind busy and to have no time for suicidal thoughts.

Such people are refereed as fair weathered friends. When life gives you failure at a young age, you understand the difference between a real friend, a well wisher and fair weathered friend. SSR never learned this difference.

Life is not fair. Nobody gives you anything in charity platter. Same goes for Bollywood. SSR should have understood this.

I am not invalidating any of your points, and this article extrapolates from Mahesh’s statement to the cops, but this could be plausible reasoning as to why he spiraled quickly. The negative side effects of cold turkey medications can be huge

If this article can be accepted as true, then I suppose this raises more questions as to why he wasn’t on close watch.

That is so true about stopping the medication cold turkey being harmful. I have to attach the caveat that none of us have confirmed information at this point about SSR, but yes this could be possible. Experiences of those close to me, who have taken anti depressants, even mild ones, have said that they had to wean themselves off the meds gently, over time and that's a precaution you have to take. It's only my friends in the States who have easy access to over the counter meds who have said this but this is common knowledge apparently. However in India it's barely something we talk about or know enough about.

I also read his sister's post where she put up her chats with him (poor woman!! she shouldnt have to do this to defend herself but she was getting trolled badly about why she didnt help him. Can you believe the absurdity of trolling his family??) and even in the chats, she's asking him to come to her house and that she wont tell anyone he's coming over so he wont have to meet anyone else. Clearly his sisters were aware that he was down and wanted to be alone.

And who knows why Rhea fought with them? Maybe it was about his health? Maybe something else. But it's just toxic and heartless to troll others regarding this.
