Ratna Pathak and Supriya Pathak are just amazing.

Waagle ki duniya is another show which is great and Yeh Jo hain Zindagi.

Yes totally I wish such shows can be made now.We can only dream and wish. I think we late 90s and early 2000 borns are so unlucky to never get watch these shows.

Pathak Sisters are powerhouse of talent.

Are these both the shows you mentioned available in YouTube? would love to check it.

This was an iconic show for us as well. I grew up watching this.

Also, Dekh Bhai Dekh even Hum Paanch.

Also, I vaguely remember Ramayan days when the street would go completely empty and people would gather in a house (then only few homes had TV) to watch it.

So true actually i found a video of tried and refused productions on degrading quality of Indian Television and they showed shows like Sea Hawks, Buniyad, Aarohan ( Shefali Shah as Indian Navy Officer) and I was shocked like how advanced and progressive those shows were I mean i was in awe.

And these was scene of Idhar Udhar and I was could recognize Ratna Ji as u said her face was similar but Supriya Ji looked so so gorgeous I was just spelled by her beauty 😍💓. I have know them as great actresses and made iconic characters like Maya Sarabhai and Hansa Parekh but what a gorgeous sisters. Supriya ji has worked in movies in her prime time. She should have been Mainstream heroine. But then both of their's quality of work is totally amazing. They both could have given run to today's bland actresses if they were in primetime now❤️

I am watching the 2nd season. It is also fun, also Hip Hip Huray.

The actor you are talking about was great film actor.Even I forgot the name

The one Liliput is also fun character was advanced I wish I could have live those era to watch in TV live❤️

I haven't watched the other shows you mentioned. Would love to check them if available on YouTube.

Tried and Refused production, oh yeah I also follow this channel sometimes. He gives so many good recommendations. Due to that channel, found beautiful South Indian actors and movies.

Actually, I found Idhar Udhar by visiting Supriya Pathak's wikipedia. I tend to just randomly remember actors and visit their wikipedia lol, weird habit of mine.

Yeah, wish I could have born in that era, ..That era was perfect, good shows, clean environment mostly, even progressive thinking towards women had started then, ( if we look at it, the progress just headed backwards in terms of shows) lack of gadgets ( even though now, can't live without them, feel life would have been so simpler in those times without all these gadgets handy)...

Tried and Refused Productions do have amazing videos.

LOL can relate to the Wikipedia thing even I am like you go and check the actors and actresses wiki to check movie synopsis and trust me it good way to kill boring time🤣

Totally agree that without gadgets those years would have been so peaceful. Now even if I try I can stay without it. So much amazing shows and so Progressive. I understand why people curse Ekta and her bringing down the quality of TV and making it worse now.

I have seen a couple of episodes but didn't find this one very funny.

I prefer Wagle ki duniya, Shriman Shrimati

Buniyad, Arohan, Upanishad Ganga (Most favorite)

Next on my to watch list is Trishna, (and then finally Chanakaya that I kept delaying lol), Shilong holiday home.
