Outsiders who are surviving because of connections/favouritsm?

There are certain "outsiders" who get privileged treatment despite flops galore and/or not enough talent. Who comes to your mind?

-Siddharth Malhotra

-Vaani Kapoor

Though I like both of them, I can't deny that the reason they are getting opportunities is because of favouritsm. They probably would have faded out if it wasn't for the connections they have nurtured.

Is this any less than nepotism?

Well, I'm speculating here, but all her films are with the YRF banner so maybe because of her closeness with Aditya Chopra

Katrina Kaif . Now she is a huge star and surviving on her own but early in her career

- Couldn’t speak Hindi

- debuted in a b grade film

No way she would have got a second chance without Salman

People grow in any field because of networking and connections.

I dont think we can discredit outsiders who started from scratch and managed to make good connections.

Bhumi....at some point she was written off until she aligned with KJO and somehow made it to his camp. Since then her fortunes have changed.

I won't put Katrina here because she is superstar bcz of luck not bcz of connections , sallu helped her no doubt but he helped many others too. She had a craze since Namastey London days

Bhumi how? Except Sonchiriya and SKA she has a full hit track record right from her debut film.

Dum Lagake- Hit

Toilet- Hit

Shubh Mangal- Hit

Bala- Hit

Pati patni aur woh- Hit

And she hasn't repeated a single production house. All the films are with different producers. She may be a politician's daughter but BO track record wise she has enough reasons to be cast in film after film.
