Today's generation's entire upbringing needs to be restructured. We are nurtured to a point that we can't handle a simple 'No' after demanding something. We are so used to being provided with everything we demand that we can't handle rejections anymore. Be it at home or any field.

With so much rise in competiton, we are going to fail at one point and it's okay to fail sometimes. We should be able to digest success and failure both. There are going to be disapoinments but we need to work hard and overcome the. I understand the pain and sufferings and it's not going to be easy but all of it can be overcome with right help and will to overcome.

It's not just personal restructuring but societal one that's needed.

FAILURE IS NOT NORMALISED in our society anymore.

Take the life of an average Indian girl/guy.

If you don't do well in 10th boards, you're written off for the next two years.

If you don't do well in 12th boards, you're written off as a loser who won't succeed in life cause no good colleges will accept you.

If you don't study engineering or medicine, you're written off as somebody who is living the easy life and isn't intelligent enough.

If you don't study MBA, you're written off as having zero prospects to climb the corporate ladder.

If you're a guy and you don't get a job, you're written off as someone who possibly won't get a wife and family cause you're unstable.

If you're a girl and you're not exceptional in studies, your entire education is written off as a joke and waste.

There's a reason the generations before us could do many jobs and handle many professions one after the other. One could dropout and start something else and it was acceptable to do that cause it was normal at that age. I have an uncle who's studied MBBS, BA, BSc and Bcom and only later ended up in Allahabad bank as a manager. Can you imagine someone doing that today? It's hard being an individual who has failed in this era. Nobody is kind.

The power structures surrounding us are ruthless and one 'NO' and rejection do feel life changing and inescapable when your whole career depends on it. Society is not kind to failure. It's not just an individual problem. The stakes are too high.

This is called copycat suicide and is common when a public figure took his or her own life. RIP.
