There were less than 100 cases on 9th March when she landed and some 4-5 deaths. Indian governemnt did not tell people returning form UK to self isolate.

Could you clarify this for me? Wasn't the self isolation YOU'RE talking about meant for those within the nation? Weren't the people who traveled from one of the places with high numbers of cases to be screened on arrival? Didn't the singer hide in the airport bathroom to escape screening? Why would she do that if she weren't aware (MADE aware by authorities as you said) that if she screened positive she WOULD have to be isolated?

Oh, no. She doesn't get to escape blame by fudging one type of isolation with the other. Nor does Sonam.

Everyone is panicking now but around holi in general people were not taking this seriously...

Offices were open, people travelled for holi, people were not getting rail tickets bec it was all booked, there was no formal advisory...

Right now kanika is being literally witch hunted.

Its easy to say she should have known to self isolate... But at that point there were no instructions regarding this at all...

Why is everybody talking about airport screening part and not the social distancing part which she clearly didn't follow and attended many parties even after both showing mild symptoms and being foreign returned.

Anjs, while I respect you..I think the main issue that you focused at that time was about how these people are " celebrating" rather than the "huge gathering" that could have risked other people's lives.You focused more on how can they be happy when people were dying due to pandemic..Or may bethat is what I understood from your post. Otherwise I think even most of the people in that thread too were mad at how these people were having gatherings despite the Corona virus

I mean if you have some special day coming up,you can atleast celebrate it in your home without inviting anybody. Why would you want people to stop celebrations? People should be happy. Stress and fear are not good for your health either

Sonam is defending probably as a precaution before any of hers videos or photos come out for attending some party.😆 she also came from London.

I think for me it was bec no one else was practising social distancing as such... But i guess mostly people were not attending parties like the celebs too ... So that was definitely stupid... I'm surprised more people from the film industry are ok given that they were partying till like 2-3 days back with kjo...

I myself cam from UK on 8th and during the screening they advised me to stay indoors for 2 weeks

Say even if she wasn't advised or was not aware of quarantine, she said she had symptoms since 4 days and tried to get the test.

If you have symptoms who the fu** goes around partying and that too when there is corona scare everywhere

People who are defending Kanika are worst piece of sh**...she roamed around without giving a damn only bcoz of her greed for money

You are wrong here. She came from UK where there were not high number of cases on 9th March. There were only 100 cases and 4-5 deaths in UK at that point in UK. So UK was not among highly infected countries. India had not included UK in travel advisory that time. It is mostly rumor that she was in bathroom during health screenings. It is just not possible to pass immigration without health screening form. I also underwent screening when landed at Delhi airport. Immediately after you come out of flight you pass thought screening. You can not go ahead without it. They ask you to fill two forms and take your temperature. Then one form you give it to doctor who just asks you few questions about symptoms and other form you give it to immigration officer. Without immigration stamp on passport you just CANT LEAVE AIRPORT.

You clearly don’t know process and details of it. When she landed on 9th March, airport doctors and authorities were not giving orders of self isolating. They did not tell it is needed. They only took contact information to check on later. Please make yourself aware Of reality before blaming anyone.

Then it is clearly problme with authority. I came from UK on 7th March and was not told anything about self quarantine.

She attended parties before she got symptoms. And it is not about defending Kanika, it is about facts. Indian authorities were not telling about self isolation to travellers till 13-14th March. Please check the facts before talking sh*t about others.
