When Parakh Madan was offered a role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, the answer was immediate. For an actor working in Indian television, few opportunities carry this kind of weight.
She said, "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 1 was a very big show. Even today, its legacy continues through Season 2 and reaches thousands, even millions, of homes. So, being a part of a show like this was a huge honour for me."
The role itself matched the scale of the show. She said, "The character I was offered was also very challenging. With all the gratitude and all the humility in my heart I felt that saying no to a show like this would have been one of the biggest mistakes of my career. So I said yes to the show and to the character. I truly feel blessed that I am now a part of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and its legacy."

Joining a franchise this iconic naturally came with its own burden. She said, "Yes, there was definitely pressure. When you become part of such a big franchise, you feel responsible. The show has stayed iconic for so many years, so there is pressure to maintain that legacy."
But the pressure didn't overshadow the excitement. She said, "I was also very excited because I had never played a role like this before. Since it was so challenging, it was also very exciting. I was really looking forward to this journey."
Every show leaves its mark on an actor. For Parakh, Kyunki… changed her in ways she didn't expect. She said, "I think I have grown a lot as an actor because I worked with such talented and experienced actors. When you work with people like them, you learn something from everyone. That helps you grow as an actor."

The bigger shift, though, was personal. She said, "As a person, I think this show has made me even more patient. I have always been a patient person and I don't get angry easily. But after doing this show, I feel my patience has reached another level. I think I have gone into complete zen mode now."
Working with a large ensemble cast meant adapting constantly. She said, "I had different experiences with different people, both at work and personally. Every show has a different way of working, and this one was no different. Everyone had their own style, and learning to work with all of them and move forward together was not easy. It needed a lot of patience."

What made the transition easier was that much of the crew was already familiar. She said, "Luckily for me, most of the direction and creative team was the same team from Bhagya Lakshmi. So it honestly felt like I was coming back home. The spot team, lighting team and camera team were also the same, which made me feel very comfortable."
Among the cast, most faces were new. But one bond stood out. She said, "Among the actors, I had worked with two or three people before, but everyone else was new to me.”
“Still, I learned something from everyone. If there is one person from this show who will always be very close to my heart, it is Akashdeep. We had the most scenes together, so we spent the most time together. We had many heart-to-heart conversations, and I think we share a very special bond," Parakh ended.
