Sonam tries to Defend Kanika Kapoor: Netizens are in no mood to Spare her from Trolling!

Kanika Kapoor’s controversy has stirred up a storm in India and she has seen a lot of criticism. While the singer is currently under the radar for her irresponsible behavior, Sonam Kapoor has stood by her and supported her claims amid her shocking revelation. 

Sonam herself is under self-quarantine after her return from London last week and she has now taken to her Twitter handle and supported Kanika’s claims. She tweeted: “Hey guys @TheKanikakapoor came back on the 9th. India was not self isolating but playing Holi.” 

One of Sonam’s followers replied to her with a counter-argument saying, “When you’re advised self-quarantine and you’re aware of the situations in other countries you ought to put others safety over your self-interests.” Another wrote: “Dear Sonam stop normalizing and generalizing things.” Yet another said: “At least she should have taken some precautions as she knew coronavirus was a breakout in the UK and in the world.”

For the uninitiated, Kanika traveled to London lately to meet her children and returned to Lucknow last week. After landing, it is suspected that she refrained from informing concerned authorities about her travel history. Apart from that, a report in the Times of India also stated that she had a cough when she reached Lucknow. 

The report further mentioned that Kanika was socially active in Lucknow for almost a week. She even attended a party thrown by a Lucknow-based builder at a politician's house last Saturday. The party was attended by senior bureaucrats, politicians and other well-known people of Lucknow, and everyone will now be screened for the coronavirus.
