Singers like Sanu, Alka and Udit

I am watching SaReGaMaPa Li'l Champs with Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan as judges. They still sing so beautifully. I heard Alka sing one line of Chura ke dil mera and boy, her voice is gold. Why do these guys don't sing anymore? Is it because their voices don't go with today's gen-x stars or the kind of songs made these days or is it something else? I would prefer an Alka or a Sanu over today's auto tune singers any day.

Ps when I said auto tune wale singers, I didn't include all of them, barring a few, almost everyone is.😊

1 - There's a lack of good lyricists in BW.

2 - Alka, Udit or Sanu aren't made for songs like saree ke fall sa or apna time ayega ( no offence to these songs)

3 - I don't think they will willing to sing remixes like the current trend

Well alka did gave her voice for agar tum saath ho. I think it has got more to do with the fact most of songs today are funky party numbers which are nothing but remake of old hindi songs. Nothing that can di justice to their talent. I would also like sonu nigam to more songs.

These days singers are brought in to sing and that version rarely eve gets selected right away. Composers have various singers sing to see what fits best. Pritam said its insult to ask Udit/Kumar sing and then not even use their version. So he will only call them when he knows for a fact he wants them

As much as I love these guys, they should be away till the music scenario changes.

Look at how songs are being made nowadays. Music directors are making multiple singers sing one song then few entitled individuals sit in a circle and decide which one is the best. Thats the MD's job.

Terrible songs are being made. Its like music labels are deliberately getting mediocre talent which they promote with their money so they can rule over these guys.

Plus terrible terrible remakes without crediting anyone from the original team. Baghi, Kakkar, Badshah get credit and publicity for something thats not even theirs.

Why would any talented individual want to work during such an era? Where there's no originality, only interference, the labels, producers and directors are calling shots and few entitled beings think they know everything? Its better if all talented individuals stay away from the industry for now...this is the lowest Bollywood music has ever been.

These singers are retired. They are not getting good offers.

If anything good comes their way and they are ready to accept the offer, they can continue to sing in movies.
