250 crore is not that big anymore ..It can fetch 150 crore from satellite and Digital itself

Do historicals get a good satellite price ? Saying coz all historicals mostly end up having dead Tv ratings.

Do you really think, he did not know the background of Azadi song in Gully Boy? He shares a close bond with Zoya Akhtar. Just that, he does not come in open like Deepika. (Well Cinema is not just art. It is business and he is a good businessman).

To me, Takht theme looks great on paper. But creative part of the movie is dominated by lefties, who prefer to gloss over popular sentiments/hurt.

Vicky stated, he wanted to explore Aurangzeb's character more. (Why he did what he did). As an actor who is playing that character, he is right. But the fact is, Aurangzeb has rubbed the majority psyche too badly and too deep. (Be it with Sikh Gurus or Kashi Vishwanath Mandir). Any effort to glossify would backfire.

Movie's script writer is Hussein Hydri ( @hussainhaidry ) and director is KJo. It will just be a Shikara 2 on a mega scale.

Guaranteed flop.

Keeping in mind the budget, and how things r with dharma lately

You seriously think it will do 350 crores plus to ensure a HIT tag from "theaterical business" ?

Then think again.

(PS: satellite rights, digital etc can help in "recoveries" can't make a film successful)

He wants to be Rajamouli. 😆😆 Hindi markets are fully capable of such big bidget movies but the problem bollywood doesn't make such movies worthy of the budget or the recovery. Lets see if Karan can change that by any chance.

On a second thought pretty sure its gonna be a pan india movie so again chances of recovery is very much a possibility. Now depends on what they end up delivering.
