I have a feeling she was trying to shift the blame on to her mother to get sympathy..when she realised it had gone too far. Even if she had grown up watching her mother acting like that why mention it there as an excuse? Thats selfish of her. Khud toh badnaam hui ab maa ko bhi drag karo.

Even if its true...theyre worlds apart..shehnaaz and her mother. Her mother is a conservative housewife who seems like she is used to waiting on men. So if the mother lost it once in a while in the privacy of their home its understandable. Shehnaaz is a financially independent woman who is now in a space where she can have some degree of equal footing with men..where shes not being forced to do anything or act according to anyones wishes. Also shes on national tv. So please..dont use the dysfunctional family card to justify your freaky behaviour.

In a larger sense I guess her family is responsible ...her father seems to have said 'pura maza lo ' about #sidnaaz. And he thinks Shukla wants to propose to her . Which is insane.

Shehnaaz is estranged with her family even Shukla told that yesterday. I think there is more to Shehnaaz past then we know.

It could’ve happened in childhood, she saw her mother doing it and found it cool. We do adopt our parents behaviour during childhood be it wrong or right.

A family is definitely responsible for what a person becomes. I suppose nobody was there to guide Shehnaaz about what to do and what not, well her father statements proves it.

It must be embarrassing for her mother to have her personal outburst and breakdown getting publicized in her social circle.

@ Bold. I was actually being sarcastic about the way she and the others called Rashmi's thing a card. Rashmi did not blame her family for her actions. She didnt say " oh i grew up watching my mother throwing tea on people so i cant help it ".

I didnt say financially independent women cant have a breakdown..I was comparing her so called agony (urr what??? because called 'jealous'? FFS ! ) to the agony of her mother -who lives her playing second fiddle to a man having no say of her own.

Shehnaaz is not stupid. Underneath the freak-on-wheels act lies a very mature ,shrewd ,even wise, woman who knows the consequences of making such a statement on tv about her mother so in my opinion she did it deliberately. Im not saying she is not allowed to have a break down just because she is mature at other times but what we saw was not a 'breakdown'.

I come from a dysfunctional family so I know a thing or two about parents' behaviour rubbing off on the kids but it doesnt happen according to convenience :). I grew up watching my mother cleaning kitchen counters and tables obsessively whenever she was angry. But now.. at this age..Im not going to randomly start cleaning other people's stuff whenever I feel like seeking attention and then blame my mother for it.

Regardless of that..EVEN if its true its incredibly selfish and inconsiderate of her to drag her mother into this. Now a whole society in Punjab and hundreds of others on the internet are going to point fingers at the mother . Well theres good news for Shenaaz-once this reaches her family..the mother is probably going to be taunted black and blue by her in-laws and Shehnaaz would get to see more chest-thumping which she can use as an excuse later.

What her mother might have done is for her dad to agree to something which i think is highly wrong. But it's between husband wife or family.

Here she is indirectly asking biggest superstar to tell to entire world she is not jealous. So for the host contestant s it's only her who should matter then she can use this statement everywhere like she got Salman to agree to Punjab ki katrina kaif.

It's incorrect analogy.
