Ohh that episode but he never said that he used mini to get babita lol kuch bhi. There was going a proper conversation between them and in the middle of it babita said something in which he replied that he said that to assure her he never used pleased word. And after that babita overthinked and implied ohh you used mini to please me. And here I thought he actually said that dialogues😭.

Well KK tweeted that HS called Mini his daughter to please Babita, and this was shown in the episode... so this is why people say so. That’s what KK wanted to show... we just don’t buy the BS that was again thrown our way 😆

WTF. On a personal note, the writers are making it seem as if sex was the only thing between Hanita. Which, no?? They had such an incredibly deep bond prior the wedding and while there was tension, sex wasn't the only thing on their mind. Minnie leaving would have made things difficult but not to the point of complete avoidance.

Isse achha to yeh donon shaadi hi nahin karte. Shaadi = barbaadi is the only message that seems to becoming across from KK. Ugh.. What a way to turn people off this idea.

When she had sex with Ashok, she was under the illusion that whatever they shared was in fact a love filled relationship. She of course was at the tender age of eighteen when she got married so she didn't really have a lot of standards to go off of when it comes to long term relationships, love or marriage. She merely followed what she was told. However, even then she had told HS that Ashok never touched her unless she wanted it. So I don't see why the same wouldn't be applied to HS.

Sex isn't a "duty" that a woman needs to fulfill. We're not obligated to fulfill anyone's sexual desires other than our own. If this is the message that the writers left us with, then once again, I'm more disgusted than usual.

If that's the case, then there's no point in having these discussions now is there? We all might as well leave the forum and let it die out.

I very much agree it’s not a duty however it’s still very much a reality that there are women out there who don’t feel desire/attraction or in touch with their sexuality that do so out of duty. From what I understand (and I could be totally wrong here) marital rape for eg isn’t even something criminalised in India due to their being an expectation of duty and conjugal rights, but that’s a whole other topic. I don’t think the writers will be trying to send a message of obligation of even if they’ve thought very much of the sense of saying they fought a lot but then Arya was conceived. It seems like an ill thought out plot once again. They often change things as per their whim to suit what they’re trying to say even if it makes no sense whatsoever lol it appears they’ve thought about how to convey the message that mini’s leaving affected the marriage, they’ve thought about explaining Arya being conceived soon after but not the reality of conceiving during a supposed bad patch. It could be something as simple as celebrating something or a good date one night which lead to her being conceived.

Plot twist- hs started to drink recreationally again and babita joined in for a drink and got all frisky, hence Arya 🤣

Thank you. I couldn’t remember the exact episode or scenario, only that it happened in their bedroom and babita exclaiming “so Kammo was right”

I agree. Ashok and Babita fell out of love after he left for London. I actually don't even think it was love to begin with. She was in a loveless marriage. Its another thing that she was delusional to think that there was still love left in her marriage.

The case with HS and Babita is different. They actually both do love each other a lot... unless writers all along wanted to tell us that it was all a facade and they never really loved each other, they just wanted "sex" or whatever, then I don't know what to say. I refuse to believe this again. Mini leaving would have impacted their life and they must have had fights too, but not to this extent. Again, its the narrative they want to push that Hanita's marriage was only intact because of Mini, which again is a bunch of crap. Remember NB's voiceover while Hanita were walking towards the mandap, we were as shocked even then.

I would like to think they reconciled their differences, esp. after Babita got pregnant. They had to have had a conversation with each other on this. They can't keep fighting. HS would never stress Babita when she's pregnant. I would like to think after Mini, both lost hope which affected their marital life... with Arya's news, both found hope and purpose in their life. Thats all. Sometimes, you need certain circumstances to happen to reevaluate your life. Doesn't mean they didn't love each other or that they were just having sex to fulfill marital duties or whatever. I don't see Babita and HS as a person who would ever do that. They have always had that emotional connect. NB/Lala explained that Babita's pregnancy news changed their life, both started staying really happy with each other. If you watch HS's phone calls, Arya's birth news, and those video recordings, he looks happy to me. He's talking about Babita as he's really proud of her as well.

Fck shaadi, you might as well not even love. Whether it's romantic / sexual, familial or between friends, kuch maat karo. Sirf logo ka bura socho aur karo, kyunki aakhir mein jeet sirf unki hi hoti hai.

I'm not well versed about the laws surrounding marital rape in India so I'm not going to get into that.

The main crux of the problem comes down to what you've said: the plot is ill thought out. When compared to S1, they have only sketched out surface leveled things. They haven't thought of things in the long term, nor do they plan to. Heck, we saw this in the first few episodes of S2 where there was inconsistency in regards to when Minnie came back from Australia and the broken relationship between her and Babes.

They started messing around with characters and plot in the last three months to victimize and glorify Minnie and set her up for S2. Then, when S2 came along, they're once again saying whatever they want without any rhyme or reason. They can't think intricately anymore like they once used to.
