Exclusive: It's Confirmed! Arjun Kapoor collaborates with Nikkhil Advani for a cross-border filmBy Rahul Raut on October 16, 2019

Arjun Kapoor might have been keeping a low profile post the debacle of Raj Kumar Gupta's India's Most Wanted but he's steadily and cautiously readying his movie lineup for 2020. The actor will next be seen in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Panipat which recounts the events that led up to and unfolded during the Third Battle of Panipat between the Maratha Empire and the Durrani Empire in 1761. The teaser of this high-octane historical drama co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon is expected to drop in the last week of October, followed by the trailer early next month.

However, before Panipat hits the screens on December 6, Arjun will start shooting for his next that he has recently locked. Peepingmoon.com sources have confirmed that Arjun is collaborating with Nikkhil Advani for his forthcoming production venture. The yet-untitled film is said to be a coming-of-age cross-border drama and will be directed by National Award-winning filmmaker K Shashilal Nair's daughter, Kaashvi Nair. Said to be an ensemble project, the film goes on floors on 1st November. Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium fame Amitosh Nagpal has written the screenplay.

Interestingly, both Arjun and Kaashvi have been Nikkhil's assistant in the past. While Arjun assisted him on Kal Ho Naa Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq before making his acting debut with Ishaqzaade in 2012, Kaashvi has been working with Nikkhil's production company Emmay Entertainment for the past 8 years and has assisted him on Patiala House and D-Day before co-directing his 2016 TV series, POW- Bandi Yuddh Ke. Emmay has a slew of films in the pipeline which launches its ADs and Kaashvi is the second AD out of this strategy after Gaurav Chawla who made his directorial debut with Saif Ali Khan's Baazaar last year.

Apart from this Emmay’s film, Arjun has also signed the Hindi remake of Tamil hit, Comali that will be bankrolled by his father Boney Kapoor. Revolving around a man who wakes up from a prolonged state of coma to a world that has changed beyond recognition, the remake will go on floors next year and is likely to be directed by Pradeep Ranganathan who helmed the original version. He's also rumoured to headline the remake of F2: Fun And Frustration for his father's banner but that's yet to be confirmed. Arjun's much-delayed YRF film, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is also likely to release after Panipat next year.
