A woman who wants to set everything right but fails at the first basic step - understanding of what she should be doing.

A woman who truly loves her family and holds the courage to go to any extent to protect them but doesn't realize - what actually would protect them and what actually would destroy them.

A woman who finds it alright to hear whatever being said to her because she is middle class. I get that her father worked at Basus but how does that mean that they are supposed to listen to every single bullshit of Mohini?

A woman who does have brain but she isn't thoughtful and patient enough. She wants the problems to get solved then and there and that makes her choose the easiest option that would make everyone suffer the most.

A woman who has a heart of gold (🤔 ) but forgets every now and then that to live in this world, you have to learn to make a balance between your emotions and your mind.

A woman who cannot stick to the decisions she once made.

The only quality that I admire is the courage that she shows to protect her loved ones.

Thank you for putting this up. Sadly, in a patriarchal society that is what most of the women are. They have an identity only with respect to the characters in her life.

Prerna is not a VICTIM of circumstances but she is a a CLEAR example of what happens to women who have zero self respect and AMBITION. I am reiterating, if we women want an EGALITARIAN society then be truly equal than waiting to play the VICTIM or the PRIVILEGE card.

Earn your own money, contribute something to yourself, your family.

She actually has nothing in life, and so her focus is only what she can do by sacrificing herself.

Oh, Btw, I watched the so called SASSY Prerna claiming to be Anurag’s first wife, I was like yeah! Yeh Sass nahi Self-inflicted beizzati hai.

As a woman, all of us DESERVE better than to be just reduced to second fiddles in someone else’s story.

Anyway, Prerna is Not an INDEPENDENT character. Full Stop.

On a serious note

The biggest disappointment for me from this show is Prerna Sharma, a so called female lead of this show.

She is always referred as someone who is linked with the males.

I mean it's 2019,woman have an individual identity today.

Atleast focus on that too.

What defines Prerna Sharma?

She is Anurag Basu’s Psycho lover!

That’s her identity.. She doesnt know anything beyond that... Not even her own child..

The moment she loves someone, her full attention, reason to breathe becomes that person and she cant think anything beyond that..

First it was her family, now it’s Anurag Basu.. EK knows who will be next on the list!

If Prerna Sharma is no one, I wonder why two men are so hell bent on being with her, wishing she stays in their lives. I am not saying Prerna is an ideal girl, she isn't, she is decades behind the actual women in today's era. If she's left alone it'll be very hard for her to survive on her own. But I am someone who would always back up with a person to try and see the little goods in them. So for prerna, she's a woman who has been played a lot, be it anu or bajaj but she's too emotional to give it back to them.

I know fandoms here do a character assassination of her every now and then but come on, unlike Male leads she never does anything to hurt ayone she never purposely thinks bad about/for anyone. She's a woman who though makes terrible decisions, is dumb but would always do anything within her reach to help people in her life. You can't disagree with that.

So the bottom line is, in my opinion, Prerna is a human being, good at heart. I don't think there's any one else in the show who doesn't think of cunning plans and how to hurt other people but Prerna so in humanity score she wins.

A character who has no individuality !

Havent ever come across any character who is so empty. Not even side characters are so underconstructed like this FL.She has no stand for herself either she is self sacrificing queen or mere puppet who strings are available for everyone to play with.

She wanted toofan in life, had no feelings for supposed "soulmate" unless ppl spoonfed her love doses.at once she strong enough to haq jamao where her haq is not needed.and next instant she damsel in distress.no self respect,self empathy or self love. She has not been thought to celebrate life and celebrate her individuality.

She clearly lives in some delusional bubble, which is very toxic given the decisions she take. She needs help!
