Dingko is actually a very angry man himself, so it remains to see whether they will include that part in the movie or not. He is a flawed man who used to beat up athletes to discipline them, it was just when he hit a girl and she complained, when he got suspended.

Honestly I haven't went through Dingko's biography yet. Now if anger is a huge part of his personality, then certainly it will be included in the movie too...still as a boxer there will be many layers in his character arc so overall it will be interesting to watch. Let's just hope that they won't portray anything much violent in the movie which would cause controversies.

This is Mary Kom all over again. North eastern people rarely get mainstream representation. I wish North East actor played him. I am sure there are tons of them in Bombay struggling for a big break. Shahid can produce this and promote it but I really wish someone from North East got their chance. He looks nothing like the sportsman. So I don't get the casting. This is like Katrina playing PT Usha.

Well I agree to disagree. According to me Shahid is best suitable for this role and he has that physique to ace the character very well. He is a performer. And not all the boxer's biopic is meant to be the same. Mary Kom and Dingko Singh both are very different people.

How can you agree to disagree on this lol. A North Eastern guy looks completely different from Shahid. They have different facial features very unique to them. Its their identity. Shahid's physique is enough to play a North East guy? I am sure there are capable North East actors or strugglers who can build a physique just like Shahid and actually look like the sportsman. Making a Punjabi guy play a hardly represented people of our country is stupid and problematic. North East don't have actors kya? Shahid is not playing a fictional guy,he's playing a real person and he looks nothing like him just like Priyanka looked nothing like Mary Kom. That's the point. And you can't agree to disagree with someone's identity.

Bollywood obsession with biopics should end.
