Netflix film Maa Behen has been receiving appreciation from audiences since its release on June 4. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film features Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Ravi Kishan, Dharna Durga, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh and Shardul Bhardwaj in important roles. The movie has also reportedly performed well on the streaming platform and has become one of the top performing non English titles globally.

Actor Ravi Kishan, who stars alongside Triptii Dimri in Maa Behen, recently praised the actress for her performance in the film. He said that the project allowed viewers to see a different side of Triptii beyond the image she gained after her appearance in the blockbuster Animal.

Triptii became a nationwide sensation after playing Zoya Riaz in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film Animal. Her role opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s character Ranvijay Singh received immense attention, and she was soon popularly called the national crush. However, the film and her character also faced criticism, especially because of the intimate scenes. According to Ravi Kishan, Maa Behen gave audiences an opportunity to appreciate Triptii’s acting abilities beyond that perception.

In Animal, Triptii played Zoya Riaz, a character who becomes an important part of Ranvijay Singh’s life during a crucial point in the story. Although her screen time was limited, her performance became one of the most discussed aspects of the film and brought her widespread recognition.
