first, if you read the topic i posted you would know why I said that NEBULA gave a stand out performance. all the avengers, cap, thor, stark they are all good but that is it, they did the same thing in the film which they have been doing in the past films, the only difference i would say that there was a captain america's ass scene, thor becoming overweight and natasha killing herself off, all these scenes were put to shock the audience but all were in bad taste.
wait what? when did Nebula send nat and clint intentionally to Vormir? I have seen the film many times and even have the cam Rip, natasha's seen taking the notes and then nebula explains about how thanos murdered her sister. After that, they all discuss the teams and decide 'themselves' rest is the figment of your imagination, otherwise please bring me the part where nebula intentionally sends them to both. And at Vormir, natasha herself decides to sacrifice the lives, they could go back but they knew they won't succeed without taking the soul stone, don't put the blame on a character just because you have to.
And what are u talking about my friend, she killed her past self to save Gamora, when she's about to kill her, she saved her sister, clearly i agree that Nebula wasn't a saint but that's the beauty of her character. The writers did a fab job. It all reminded of Kangana's arc in krrish 3 and she stole the show there..If Nebula takes the front stage here, it was Gamora who stole the show in Avengers Infinity war. I'm just talking about from performance perspective. I didn't see anything special in other avengers, they did a good job but they just repeated themselves.
Well, you brought the screentime thing, which isn't really equivalent to having the best role or character arc. Cap and Tony didn't do anything different I agree. But most of the spotlight was still on them. This was the first film in MCU where Nebula got a good screen time, so there is no previous film to compare like other characters. And Thor was definitely not made fat just to shock the audience. While I too didn't like how they turned him into a joke, still he got a good character arc by showing him suffering from PTSD and depression.
It was hinted many times that Nebula knew that soul stone requires a sacrifice. When Clint and Nat were parting ways with Nebula and Rhodey to head for Vormir, Nebula made this statement, "Coordinates for Vormir relayed in. All they have to do is not FALL OUT." Why does she think Clint and Nat will have a fall out and for what reason? Knowing Nat for all these years Nebula should know how close she's to Clint.
And remember that scene when Nebula was caprtured by Thanos, she was telling 2014 Gamora that Thanos killed her for the soul stone. "You know what he does to you? You know what he does to you to get the stone?". Nebula knew how much Thanos loved Gamora and will not kill her for some stupid reason.
Even in Infinity War, when Guardians and Tony got a hold of Thanos on Titan, she tells Quill that "Thanos went to Vormir with Gamora and returned with the stone". Now this is not a solid proof but it still adds to the fact that Nebula knows about Vormir and soul stone more than other Avengers.
Also remember that it was 5 years later they went to search for the stones. You think Nebula never went to Vormir to know what really happened to Gamora in those 5 years? She was the only one apart from Rocket who would've cared for the Guardians.
Nebula would've never killed Gamora. She loved her sister very much to kill her. She was also going to kill her in GOTG Vol 2, but couldn't do it. She was only bloodllusted about Thanos all this time.
In my opinion there is never one character who steals the show in these Avengers movies. MCU was never about one character or actor.
