Hrithik should seriously do more films. Today, every single atom in my body was reminded of why I am a fan. He is so unbelievably talented and deserves so much more recognition. Mrunal is right when she says that we tend to forget how phenomenally he performs because his good looks tend to overshadow his acting.
He lived, breathed and gave his heart and soul to this movie. Watch out for the pre-interval scene; his acting has so much of weight and he is so into the character that you forget that this is Hrithik Roshan. The emotions that he displays seem so natural and are so beautifully expressed that you really feel like this is Anand Kumar who is motivating his students and pushing them to defy their limits, follow their dreams and let their passion remain unflinching. All the emotional scenes he is in tug at your heartstrings. Especially the rain scene where they all dance, the climax (oh my god those emotions he expresses) and the scene where he wraps papad in his letter (those who watched will know) He is truuuuly the soul of this movie - so earnest, natural and sincere. Anand Kumar chose the perfect actor to play him. He has dedicated so much to this role, so much that his mannerisms seem on point and even his accent seems to flow beautifully. I cannot express how much I feel proud as a fan today. It's overwhelming - seeing your all-time favourite actor after 2.5 years who has grown so much as an actor in such a beautiful movie with such beautiful messages. I'll say this again, if he doesn't get awards for this I'll be so really pissed.
Mrunal Thakur is so pretty and is so so natural! Loved her chemistry with Hrithik even though they hardly had scenes together. The "Phi" joke is EPIC xD Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Srivastava are brilliant and so are the actors who play Anand's parents. Nandish is also great! Apart from HR I think the best part is the youngsters who comprise Super 30. All of them are outstanding! Loved the class scenes and the Basanti No Dance sequence - so powerful. Everyone had started dancing in the cinema hall xD Jugraafiya and Paisa are lovely too, especially Jugraafiya for its adorable music and lyrics. But Niyam Ho takes the cake. It's the end credits music and it gives you goosebumps. I'd say that this song is the soul of the movie ❤️
Overall the film offers you a multitude of emotions - laughs, tears, shock, anger. It's an absolutely beautiful movie and I think every single person should watch this. I can't pinpoint even one dull moment. There are so many things to learn from it and the film addresses many issues that we have in India.
4.5-5/5. Might seem faefetched but it's probably going to be ranked amongst my favourite movies ever. It's Hrithik's best movie after Jodhaa Akbar if not alongside. Performancewise, it's definitely Hrithik's career-best. He is UNBELIEVABLE.
