June 24th: Haunted pasts

I really liked today's epi, especially in terms of an arc and overall flow.

Today's central premise was regarding how much Rohit and Sonakshi are haunted by their pasts. Everything centers around incidents that happened on Sept. 26th....for Sonakshi, her engagement broke on that date, while in Rohit's case, it seems he lost his first patient that day.

Few notable moments that stood out for me:

1) Sonakshi feeling so disgusted and unraveled by the incident with Sumit but still trying to be brave and professional in terms of completing her shoot.

2) Netra....MVP, this lady👏👏....I just haven't seen a character like her on TV before....strong and practical while balancing very difficult and grey circumstances. She supports Sonakshi fiercely while managing to keep an insecure, perverted male lead like Sumit in line as well....no matter how much he tries to shout at her or bully her, she doesn't back down and keeps him in check both with her cleverness or just outright shutting him down like she did today. Loved that👏

3) Sonakshi having a moment of candor where she talks about how no matter how much she preaches to her audience on TV that they must be strong and move on, but personally she struggles with moving on from her past....it leaves her vulnerable because she poured her all into her previous relationship but was let down.

What's notable also unlike most people who have bad pasts or broken relationships, Sonakshi is quite the optimist and romantic who hopes to meet someone else who will give her a fresh lease on life.

4) Sonakshi's driver giving the rearview mirror analogy and stating that if you only keep looking back at the past, your car will have an accident....sweet moment of interaction between him and Sonakshi....

5) Rohit's watch.....clearly it wasn't the same watch he lost on Sonakshi's set.....his mom likely called ahead to the hospital and asked them to give him another similar looking watch....that's what the nurse brought in when Rohit was quietly sitting in his office.....and he put it on as well....I wondered if he realized it's not the same watch or he just needs the comfort of a similar looking watch on his wrist as a coping mechanism.....based on his FB about the watch, it seems like it was gifted to him by a special person....maybe an ex-girlfriend or a sister?

6) Sonakshi to the rescue for a Rohit trying to rescue a puppy😆....hilarious end to the episode....lol I especially laughed at the bit when Rohit sarcastically comments that this isn't her shoot where for 8 hours they will shoot the same scene and she needs to make up her mind about rescuing him now.....haha

Precap looks like the Rohit-Sonakshi interaction will continue tomorrow.....lol Rohit looks so gleeful over the idea of Sonakshi getting arrested for driving without a license....lol little does he know, the cop will likely turn out to be a Sonakshi fan too and let her go😆

They are cute with their nok-jhonk so far.....it's nothing outlandish....Sonakshi gives it back to him cuz he acts snobby with her.....lol while he's always waiting for a chance for her to face some reality beyond her Parvati act.....haha

Besides, i like the fact the episode ends on a lighter note as tujhse naraz nahi zindagi made me feel for ronakshi...

Re: Rohit's watch.....yes, he dropped it at Sonakshi's set....they showed a spot boy finding it in Friday's epi but Sumit noticed him and took the watch away from him when he realized it's an expensive watch.

The one the nurse gave to Rohit today was a duplicate watch.

But if the watch is so important how come he did not find is not the same one?...n also his mom mentioned that the nurse had it...his mom is shown someone who can create a ruckus as far as money is concerned 😲...so has she gotten it arranged through nurse without any fuss?

I know itv n logic do not go hand in hand but rohit’ s character makes me think otherwise😎

ok never mind i lied 😆 just finished watching the epi and agree with everything you said But the standout portion has to be the tujhse naraz nahi bit first it is a nicely done recreation secondly that bit had the right amount of tehraav and poignancy without being overdramtic and heavy. Sona in the car just reminded me of one of my most fav anika scene epi 5 wala after the chocolate bar gets squished. sona had a similar situation today and Deepika nailed it with bringing the right amount of gravitas in delivering that emotion she is broken but confident that there will be someone for her i really liked the follow up park scene where she finds the sukoon and WOW to say the truth i never expected her to admit that all the badi baatein are just badi baatein hi in real life it is hard to just move on and that it hurts no matter how much she tries to leave it behind. I liked that bit of reality check and the line drawn between sonakshi and parvati there. haha i kinda chuckled too and logon ko magic and umeed pe lecture dene wali sona says such khokle words to defend her work when she herself really doesn't believe in the same magic given by her profession 😆

i mean yes she mentioned that she is hopeful there is someone for her somewhere but it was more aligned with sonakshi the person that SOnakshi the actress who was like THIS IS THE REASON people believe in magic IYKWIM But i like that line Thank you makers

on the other hand we have rohit who got so emotional seeing the equipment got teary and it reminded him of someone Hmm Intresting. I feel it has to be someone related to him a sibling,, a loved one and it might be the reason behind his strained relationship with his father too because IN Reality which dr gets so emotional remembering a professional failure or a deceased patient it is part of the daily life i mean momentarily yes it does effect because come on you lost a life few days few months but rohit looks far more wounded then just that. either it has to be a loved one or could be a child case? as we've seen he bonded really well with priety??? so then such high emotions kinda make sense but the other interesting bit was that they have both came to same place to find some solace.. why else would rohit come there too😆

baaki the rescue part was hilarious as usual i laughed so hard at his Dr nahi heart surgeon in his latki position too 🤣and then his go find some help it is not shooting also his shock at sonakshi eager to save the dog and being more concerned about it then helping The "heart surgeon "

precap is funny too and i like the understated sa nok jhok it is genuinely funny but it so subdued and looks more believable . like not the screaming kind of nok jhok and try hard wala routine phew for that

also before i forget Details make so much of difference as you said like sonakshi's commitment to her work and despite everything willingness o finish her JOb and then in park the rescue was rather done in a more practical way with sonakshi seeking help from other park visitors instead of being able to pull a big man up all on her own with the help of garden pipe..

about nethra yeah good for her for speaking by sona but what i do't get is nobody stands tehse kind of tantrums and humans ina workplace esp in TV industry where replacements are so normal why can't nethra just take a call and sack him as he is such a trouble maker and whatever he did today replacement is the answer but let's see agar itne deep jaate hain ke nahi showcasing industry wise.

and i am still confused about the brief FB of sona's wound am i imagining too much or it hints towards the ass BF hurting her physically too ? caz in the FB she was standing alone and then suddenly her ahh and she touched her ear and it is bleeding

Maybe money means nothing to her when it comes to her son. She is a mother after all.

Anyways, we will have to wait and watch to see if upcoming epis give more clarity on this watch mystery.

It humanized her. Would be nice if the makers developed this more.

I was struck by this in the Tujhse Naraaz sequence ki their worlds are so far removed from each other but they are both struggling with a deep sense of loss regarding their past, visibly haunted by it.

There may be stuck with him coz he’s a popular onscreen jodi with Sonakshi. That is why they all seem to be trying to work around his misbehavior even though they all clearly support Sona. Wohi TRPs ka darr hoga since breaking a popular onscreen jodi can lead to loss of TRP. Netra is managing to do what she can within the parameters of the situation since they are unsure if show can survive breaking of the jodi despite Parvati’s popularity. Harsh truth I guess 🤷‍♀️

It kinda seemed like he threw something at her that swiped under her neck and left her with that cut. Maybe we will get more details in upcoming epis.

Waise didn’t someone say Sonakshi’s character was inspired from DT’s life? 😂. Ex-boyfriend that she loved a lot, abusive co-star she adjusts around...it all does sound a bit familiar 🤷‍♀️😂

DT ka idk i read random articles claiming to be MD and dr nene and went😆 but again that case seems familiar too with Mr dutt and Madhuri's well known affair😆

Though in all honesty idk MD would allow it matlab she actually requested sanju's makers to keep her chapter aside and keep her out of the film idt she'd be interested in making her life such a daily show hence the lols
