I’m not disagreeing with your analysis at all, and since they are failing at even keeping up a facade in public they won’t make it to the alter. But if they could, yes I could see them marrying for power and publicity.

People actually think Ranbir and Alia will get married?The couple is only sticking around because of Brahmastra, and after the movie releases they will "break up", doesn't matter if its a hit or flop, because Kjo will promote part 2(if it gets made) as "return of exes".

Alia is only 26, no way is she getting married before 30. A Bollywood actress career is more or less over once she ties the knot, and Kjo and Alia know that very well. Alia will not get married until she phases out, and that's not happening anytime soon. As for Ranbir, he's clearly not interested in marriage with any girl, and definitely he'll not settle with someone like Alia after banging Katrina and Deepika.

Not sure I can see them getting married either.. Maybe only if pressure.. But they WILL keep this guessing game on..to get Tabloid and SM TRP..to get exposure... and be in news.

@ red: I'd have said so until Rishi being ill./ Now the kapooors might urge him to get it on with Aloo cause she's at the top.. or at least a 'long engagement'... so he looks serious...

And KJo would like that- as engagements are easier to break up and scandal after would also give more headlines.. so would an '(ventual)reunion in a movie'.

Rishi and Neetu urging Ranbir for marriage is not going to make him marry Alia, because that also requires Alia's consent and that's not happening.

A fake engagement is also not possible, as it'll involve families and relatives. Also Kapoors ain't going to agree with Kjo's drama, only to promote his film.

You never know Ranbir could marry Alia on paper and still canoodle with other women.

I think we what we really need to talk about is why these girls go into depression once the leave Ranbir? He really damaged Katrina/Deepika very badly and Alia already looks unhappy and depressed too. Toxic masculinity.
