Yeah, it's realy sad that they had to throw Chandu away.

It's better they did some reincarnation where both NM and SC will meet in the next life or something. Rather than this leap crap where the male leads only was retained.

Then they had to create some ridiculous story like how Shivika was killed.

yes if there was no leap SC wudve continued till the end.She herself said in her interview that it was too early 4 her to play a mother.So it wasnt possible to bring a leap with shivika.thats why SC was forced to leave.they could have continued it without leap

In IB case, both the leads are very dedicated and worked in making IB/Shivika so popular. If there was no leap decision, both NM-SC would have continued until the end of the show.
But as makers say, the story is from ML POV. Hence they have tried to do the same with leap too...
If you see other shows where its FL centric, then normally CVs continue leap by retaining FL. Its creative decision.

One thing I don't understand why would they put so much effort and work on the redux story if they do not want to continue with it??? The redux story itself should have a lot more to be explored than the leap generation they did.

And how could Gul herself think that Shivika itself is not selling enough for the TRP. They should have known that the fans have grown to love Shivika jodi itself. In fact Shivika's jodi is the soul of the show. They just decided it's not selling?? 😕😕😕

well REDUX was supposed to be SS2 only that it was not the usual way of rebirth...it was supposed to be an alternate journey of shivika...but CVs messed up big time...

Though the idea was novel, they didn't think it through about the characters or the journey or the implementation...

CVs wanted it to be different from the RU Shivika and hence altered the traits of both Shivaay and Annika...but these were not liked by the fans and then there was a continuous complaints on SM about the same...But CVs instead of working on the characters, kept flipping them with RU characters every now and then and made Shivika in AU hollow and non-relatable.

Also CVs/channel didn't bother to promote Redux on TV. Yes they promoted it on SM but not for TRP audience... most of the audience were confused about what happened to Shivika as they were behaving different when redux started. Also in cases of rebirth only leads will be there with new character names and all supporting cast will be new ...but in case of redux every thing was same I mean all characters were present but behaving differently so it kind of threw many audience off balance and felt them disconnected to the story.

So channel/PH might have thought that doing a rebirth is same as redux was already done. So they might have gone for leap.

@bold... well things dont always go as planned right ? Yes they did redux to start a fresh journey but CVs messed up big time with story, characters and execution.

If only Gul and PH have spent some time working on the characters and story before jumping onto redux, then redux would have worked and there was no need of leap...

Without any promotion of redux, channel/PH thought that TRPs would be soaring ? just like that ? Gul got a great idea of redux but the implementation failed big time... redux did run for 6 months only bcoz of NM-SC even with pathetic script.

About Gul, well she is always the one who twists her own words..she wanted to justify leap so she said Shivika didn't work . Thats it...

Yes, they are stupid in this regards. Actually Gul came up with a fresh idea about having an alternate universe. The Indian Television viewers do not really understand about alternate universe though. They should have done more promotions and introductions of this Alternate Universe than what they have been doing. Then they would have been able to continue with Shivika jodi and all will be well. They really messed up big time. Now they are also messing up with this new leap generation where there is no longer the existence of Shivika.
