I have been watching this trend since recent years of over glorification of karna starting from star mahabharat, suryaputra karna and now karna sangini, yes he was a tragic hero and was a fearsome fighter but to portray him as the most powerful Warrior is a bit too much, I mean first they showed in star mahabharat that abhimanyu was no match to him when infact abhimanyu made karna fled the battle field such was his Valour, karna was beaten by abhimanyu, arjuna, chitrasen, krishna's son samba, chilax TV guys thik hai banda Ek accha dhanurdhari tha but to call him the second best thing after slice bread is too much, forgetting that arjuna was himself incarnation of lord Vishnu, not to forget the above mentioned events . I am not denying karna's greatness but this is way over the top.

How was Arjun an incarnation of Lord Vishnu? I doubt.

Arjuna was considered the incarnation of Nara, who is the amsha of Narayana. Arjuna and Krishna together are Nara and Narayana.
Every parva of Mahabharata starts with 'Narayanam Namaskrityam Naram chaiva narottamam' which roughly translates to 'salutations to Nara and Narayana'

The only thing I find overhyped is the caste thing. Karna wasn't rejected by Drona. He learned everything except Bramhastra from Drona. Besides, even in the Rangabhoomi Karna performed all of Arjuna's feats with Drona's permission. His introduction and status was asked by Kripacharya and not Dronacharya, as part of duelling protocol. The only one who insulted Karna in Rangabhoomi was Bhima and that too much later when Adhirath arrived there.

Drona certainly had his faults and hidden agendas. And he was maliciously cruel to Eklavya (who by the way no one cares about and is the REAL unsung hero). But he was never outright cruel to Karna as was shown in this or any other show made on Mahabharata. In Kurukshetra too, Drona and Karna were mostly cordial and worked as a team on the battlefield.

yes the cast system was cruel but the thing was it was Drupad who turned him into kind of a strict person by mocking his status.

That's the thing about Mahabharata. No one is purely good or Evil. Everyone is a product of circumstances. Just like normal human beings.

Well.. since the last MB blatantly over glorified the Pandavas and Panchali . I think it's only fair.
By the way , Karna needs no glorification , He's already full of glory as a character . And that's what I'd like to say about this topic. 😛

Well ,there were many battles were abhimanyu with arjuna and other Pandavas with thier army group attacked Karna . And he faced them alone . These types of fights are not decision makers.
I m not commenting on the glorification part that i too believe . But its also true after Bhisma ,Karna was the best warrior ( and arguably best archer)
