From warm hugs to the look of love: UNSEEN pictures & timeline of Adrija Roy's relationship with beau Vignuesh

Adrija Roy, who is currently leading Star Plus' Anupamaa, is all set to get engaged to beau Vignuesh Iyer on the 25th of January. This news was confirmed by the actress herself. In a conversation with Times Of India, Adrija confirmed the news and also revealed that she does not plan to get married for atleast the next two years. While Adrija may have confirmed the news today, the actress had been sharing small glimpses of her love life with her Instagram followers. However, we have now stumbled upon a few unseen pictures of the actress with her beau Vignuesh.

First meet:

Adrija, who first met Vignuesh in May 2025 at a common friend's party says, ''We instantly liked each other's personalities, and he showed interest in getting to know me better. After that, we started talking on Instagram and decided to plan a proper meeting. We went on our first date in early June.''

How did love brew?

Adrija calls Vignuesh her soulmate and says, ''I think it was our personalities that brought us closer. We are both very soft and down-to-earth. I had always wanted to be with someone outside my industry, and he felt just right. We feel like soulmates.''

Togetherness fuelled by a shared love for animal welfare:

The Anupamaa fame reveals that it was their love for animals that further brought the two of them closer. ''He has around 260 dogs and also takes care of cows at his farmhouse. We both share a deep love for animals, and that common bond connected us very quickly. I truly believe God planned this for us,'' says Adrija.

Production house approves leaves for engagement:

The actress further reveals taking three days leave to be with her family during her enagement ceremony celebrations and stated that her production house has been kind enough to give her that. ''They have always helped me during critical situations, and even for my engagement, they were very kind and cooperative. They will manage the shoot by planning scenes in advance and scheduling close shots,'' Adrija says.

Team of Anupamaa is invited:

Adrija reveals inviting everyone to her engagemnt ceremony. She says, ''I have already invited my DKP team, and depending on their schedules, those who can manage will join. I truly appreciate their support and I am grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive team.''

When is Adrija getting married?

Even though Adrija is getting engaged in a couple of days, she does not plan to get married anytime soon. ''We don't plan to get married this year. He is South Indian (Tamil), and I am Bengali, so our cultures are completely different. My dream is to get married following both South Indian and Bengali traditions. That needs proper time and planning, so we are thinking of getting married within the next two years,'' says Adrija.
