He doesn't have the conventional looks to be a massy hero.. but he can definitely entertain the masses.. He has that X factor about him.. He does all these filmy moves or delivers comic lines with as much ease as his serious performances. He just needs proper chances and thankfully he is getting those.. KJo ke good books mein aa gaye toh bhaiyya, adha rasta waise hi paar ho gaya... Sid without any talent can come so far with KJos help, toh Vicky mein toh fir bhi talent hai.. and he has definitely groomed himself too.. Just compare him to his Massan days.. he has built his body and that beard suits him too..
If he keeps making good choices he can definitely go a long way...

Never say Never. Attitude matters the most. If he has the right attitude and is grounded then why not. If goes the vivek oberoi way..then no.

i think to become a 'mainstream hero' the actor needs to do certain roles and films, like a yjhd, HSKD, BBB, along with content driven films, the massy films are also needed
for me vicky seems to be more of a content driven film kind of guy, the same way ayushman and rajkumar rao are, yes vicky is a good actor and may hav some appealing looks but in bollywod that isn't enough to become a superstar

to become superstar that extra factor is needed, i mean look at how invested people are in not only rs, rk and varuns films but also their personal lives, everything they say and do in dissected, there is a huge level of interest in everything they do, that is something i dont see for vicky, his performances are appreciated but not many are interested to know anything else about him

so yes his films may succeed at the box office even, but can a film lead by him make 100, 200 or 300 crs? i guess only time will tell, in manmarizyan he was a lead and the film got critical acclaim but it did not do well at the box office

he is very lucky to hav been part of films this year that became hits, but the truth is they did not become hits because of him, in sanju rk was the lead and it was directed by a big name like rajkumar hirani, raazi was mainly lead by alia, these films gave vicky the exposure he needed to put his name out there and get his performance appreciated, for me i had no idea who vicky was until sanju came out and the guy has been in films since 2012

a big advantage vicky has now is kjo, kjo directed him in lust stories and he has again put him in another film that he will direct which is takht, i hav already noticed how vickys pr is putting out articles about his journey, comparing him to other actors, saying he is a rising star

As Vicky is yet to act in a massy, mainstream movie I feel it is premature to say he won't suit such a role. . But as a lot of other people pointed out he does not seem like the kind of actor who would gravitate to such movies. On paper he seems to lack the swagger, charm and flambouncy needed to to do such movies but he can very well surprise us by pulling off such a role. Currently content-driven movies are doing well in the box office, so there is a possibility this may give rise to another type of A-list stars.

He is very fortunate that he caught the eyes of Karan as he knows how to package and sell actors pretty well. Only time will tell if he will live up to everyone's expectation. He seem to be the current flavor. If he play his cards right, he could become an A-list star, I feel.

I'd rather like to know who's gonna be the next blue eyed boy of Kjo: Vicky or Ishaan?
I guess Vicky... coz he's tall and handsome.

So Vicky and Ishan are the next Sid and Varun in Kjo's world.

Bold: I have noticed this as well. IMO his pr should stop doing that because everyone's journey is different and there is no need to pit him against other stars at this stage of his career. He still has a long way to go.
