She didn't even realize half her potential IMO. Although still she has a good filmography. Directors could have still done a lot with her.

Your question would imply that she had talent but did not get the opportunity

...

Yet reality is that she got more opportunities than her talent deserved...

She has acted well in a few roles where she was largely supposed to emote with her eyes... And those roles she was really good in... But when she starts screeching, it is painful..

She can defiantly act. I just feel she often has bad script sense. She needed to make better choices in films.

But she's not a bad actress at all. She was definatly under utilized and there is still lots of potential!

If an Alia can shine with a good director and film then so can Ash!

Hddcs, Taal, Devdas, Khakee, Jodha Akbar, Raincoat, Provoked, Guzarish, Guru etc etc she ruins everything geez!
