Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror comedy Bhoot Bangla has received a revised release date, with the makers officially shifting the film from its earlier May slot to April 2026. The announcement was shared by the actor himself on social media, putting an end to weeks of speculation around the film’s theatrical plans.

Kumar revealed the update through a short video that showed a black cat scratching a calendar page marked May 15, which then flipped to April 10, 2026. Along with the clip, he wrote, “Bhooth Bangla ka countdown rewind! ? 15 May ? 10 April ? Milte hain theatres mein 🎬”. The post quickly caught attention online, with fans reacting to the change in schedule.

The film was earlier expected to arrive in cinemas in May, but the revised date brings the release forward by several weeks. While the makers have not explained the reason behind the shift, such changes are common as production houses adjust strategies around competition, holidays and audience turnout.

Bhoot Bangla marks Akshay Kumar’s reunion with director Priyadarshan after a gap of fourteen years. The duo has previously collaborated on several successful comedy films, making this pairing a point of interest for viewers familiar with their past work.
