Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam
Kapoor's upcoming release Veere Di
Wedding' is set for a release in the next
couple of weeks. However, the film has
been stamped with an A' certificate by
the CBFC.
The director of the film Shashanka Ghosh
and producers Ekta and Rhea Kapoor,
along with Anil Kapoor and Jeetendra
attended the screening for the film
certificate. It has been reported by
Deccan Chronicle, that the cusswords
and swearing had been kept in the film
and the same now applied for the film.
A source said, "Both Jeetendra and Anil
argued heatedly in favour of the
colourful language spoken in the film.
They are convinced that today's
youngsters speak that foul lurid leery
language. Some panel members
objected. But finally, the board members
agreed to let the language remain intact
and gave the film an A' certificate.
Veere Di Wedding' releases on 1st June
2018.

Hope its a big flop
then only these people will realise that to show women empowerment it can be done through films like RAAZI

When India is making some fantastic films like Padman, Omerta, Gurgaon, October, Hindi Medium, along side big entrtainers like Baaghi 2 and all why Tkae our films one step back by this slang festival for 2 hours called Veere di wedding which showcases sexually frustrated women without any purpose in life.

Learn something from Raazi, Queen, Tanu weds Manu 2, Mary Kom, Mardangi, Nh-10
Sonam is spoiling the respect she got after playing neerja bhanot

Is this even a news? It was obvious after hearing bhenchod, NRI chut, charamsukh, and whatever in the trailer.

But they have not anywhere said it is a feminist movie. Or I missed it.

They have been saying it is a movie about girls having fun. So I don't think they are trying to project the movie as some empowerment scheme. Even Ekta in Komal Nahta's show said this is just a fun movie.

Although I will not be surprised if one of the Sonam or Kareena have given a W*F statement equating the movie with women empowerment 😆

The moral panic in this forum over some women taking agency in their sex lives, that too in a film makes me wonder how sexually frustrated people must be 🤣
These people would have a heart attack if they ever see Angry Indian Goddesses 😆

they have not given any particluar statement but right since the project was announced sonam and rhea made it male V/s female by citing how varun-john's dishoom and other male bonding films have good backing by distributors. How a film on female bonding is discouraged so and so.
These statements all aimed at showcasing since its a female oriented movie they dont have takers

so such statements were given to emotional blackmail misusing the serious issue of gender disparity. Gender disparity is what people in real lives are facing. Not getting backing from financers is a big deal for her and a big concern of gender disparity😆

If female centric movies wouldnt have backing how would raazi, queen happen then? or lipstick under my burkha?

They are not saying but through interviews prior they are trying to pass a message that look its how the modern Indian women of 21st century is like. We are giving takkar to male bonding movies like dil chahta hai, Zindagi milegi na dobara
