Recently, there was a buzz in Mumbai as several leading producers and studio heads were observed leaving Aamir Khan's residence on a Thursday evening. This unusual gathering of industry figures has ignited speculation about a potential major collaboration or a significant project in the works.

Karan Johar from Dharma Productions, Sajid Nadiadwala, Ektaa Kapoor, Excel Entertainment co-founders Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, and Punit Goenka, were seen leaving Aamir's residence.

Sources close to the parties have remained tight-lipped about the meeting's agenda until now. A well-informed source tells HT City that one of the meetings was indeed to resolve an ongoing issue between a big star and Excel Entertainment. Given that the issues between actor Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment have been making headlines, it appears the meeting at Aamir's house was a means to resolve the ongoing issues.

"Aamir is trying to resolve the issues between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment. The two have had some unresolved issues, which have caught the eye. The meetings at his place are for the same," shares the source.

Rift between Ranveer and Farhan

A notable disagreement arose between actor Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment after Ranveer's departure from the much-awaited film Don 3. The Producers Guild of India stepped in to mediate the situation. The main point of contention is Excel Entertainment's request for ?40 crore from Ranveer to cover pre-production costs, schedule changes, and associated losses.

While the production house insists that a significant amount of work was done with Ranveer's consent, the actor's exit is said to be due to script concerns, the absence of a finalized script, and perceived issues with the project's management. Ranveer has reportedly contested the demand, highlighting that he didn't receive any advance payment and wasn't compensated for his time when other projects, like Baiju Bawra, were cancelled.
