They are no different than any other friends or family. You believe what you want to believe and from who.

We should not. For multiple reasons -

1. Giving too much importance to them. More than what they deserve. They're just in an entertainment industry. They ain't God or more than that. They are NOT people who're larger than lives.

2. By giving too much importance to them, we are not focussing on rather important issues. After all, media space, people effort and time all these 3 factors are limited. If we waste these on celebrities, where's the time to focus on real issues ?

3. Celebrities are not supposed to give statements or their opinions on real issues. It's the political leaders and law-and-enforcement officers who should be questioned and their statements should matter. Let's focus on that.

Yes and no. I do hold the belief that celebs you like irl are somehow a definite indication and reflection of the person that you are or you wanna be,whether consciously or subconsciously. Even a teeny weeny bit. Or you won't have the urge to defend them constantly as so many here do.

What I look for in any person is consistency of character, celebs or otherwise. So if someone does good repeatedly,i take them seriously. Idc what they do in their private lives in general, but if someone is shit to their fans,is hypocritical about societal issues, talks down colleagues, has zero morals and just doesn't try I can't take them seriously. They don't matter. Celebs who actually lend their voice to an issue without any ulterior motives are my favourites.
