Aarthi , it is such a pleasure to read your posts.. You have gone into current Sameer's psyche so well👏.. if this is what Writers had planned to show, then am afraid it did not come out so well in the execution.. it is difficult to translate these onto screen, especially subtlety..
As you noted, if there was even a small convo between Vishakha and Sam after the way he was put through the search, reassuring him that she trusts Sam.. maybe he wouldn't have gone down the way that he did..that was the breaking point for him..With Munna and Pandit coming to Delhi, the precap, then the letter promo especially focus on Sameer's feelings. I am guessing that Mundit may not get to know that he has got into bad company. Their presence itself will make him realize that he must sort out the mess he is in.. and Naina too may not know abt his wayward behaviour - maybe in later yrs he may share it with Naina..I for one, am rooting for Sameer's self-realization, Mundit being the instruments/medium/trigger points..Let us see which route writers are planning to take..As I wrote in one of the posts, want Mundit to understand what Sameer is going thrugh.. the entire ambience of the Somani household.. the kind of ghutan he feels..
The writers intended this but you are right it did not seem that way to most and if I might add this is the delicate balance that directors and pursue... that puts the creative vision in jeopardy. Most became upset to see why Sam was becoming thus and at some level stopped reacting to the why. Also, the directors rushed through the most important part of the track, the transformation of Sam... why? The questions need to asked of them as well us!!
Aarti... fab post... I am completely in agreement with it. As I said earlier, by Vishaka forsaking care over propriety has ensured Sam's further slide into the dark alleys!!
