So true Nandy and Rose

This reminds me of this one Sikh guy who makes these funny videos and posts it on Youtube about Desi sabuns, have you seen any of it?

He always says this dialogue "Iss serial mein, agar kisiki zindagi Jhand hain, to woh hain iss serial ke aadmiyon ki" 😆

Men are mostly useless in many of the serials😆

Please CVs, don't make Sameer's character like this.

You have already butchered his character enough.

This time around I don't see FL glorification and ML redemption. This I say with a huge trust that the CVs will not repeat the Mt. Abu style redemption of ML.

The storyline is going quite like Mt.Abu. But I feel M and P will make him directly or indirectly realize all the wrong things he is doing. Daadi hearing the phone convo will come into picture and Sameer will be lucky that it may backfire due to M and P presence...He might begin to realize and start working towards actually changing himself, will look forward to Naina coming to Delhi for dance and meeting her, and then boom just like in Mt. Abu and the bet boys revelation to Naina, here we might see Naina being eve teased by his so called friends.or some other boys. That should be the last big jolt for Sameer and I believe just like her explanation to Sameer about what a girl feels when she says ILU (dil sau baar dhadakta hai etcc), she will explain what a girl goes through when she is eve teased. Sameer can understand only Naina and only Naina can make him understand. I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much from the CVs 😃

Earlier he was not in love with Naina, but now he is very much in love but is lost. It has to be journey of both rising and helping each other.

Rekha, good point you have made about the Rakesh-Shanthi teacher drama...

Nivi darling...super post...
The episode in general was okay-okay for me...may be the precap excitement got me and hence was happy-happy after the episode...But graph for this episode was constant...nothing much happened...

Naina called Amrita...the conversation was good but I felt it from Amrita's side...Naina should have atleast exchanged pleasantries...I have time and again said this that though I love Naina's character...it is strong, realistic, kind but at the same time I have also observed that she becomes selfish/biased/self-centered when Sameer is in picture...she does and moulds things according to her convenience when it is related to Sameer...which is fine...this is the realistic portrayal of the character...Like it is basic courtesy as a human that if someone is helping you so much, you atleast ask him how are you? out of formality...Kuchh chize ikhlaqui taur pe karni hoti hai..Infact she should even thank her for once...She is not Munna-Pandit whom she meets everyday and hence no need to say thanks...But then I shrugged the thought thinking it is STD and it charges a lot...

Sameer still in conflict and trying to dodge requests of Mawali boys to watch dirty movies was good...Dadi si hopeless🤢..As I always say this show has decided to touch all aspects...so after kitchen politics what can they show...so now let's touch office politics...Rakesh will purely do office politics and create problems for Shaanti...Many of us are working professionals here so we all know such people are there...and infact teaching field has more politics than any other (personal experience)...and at the end Rakesh is selfish...he proves it one more time...Hope this act brings out more guilt for Naina and makes her realize about things she has been hiding from her beloved people...😳

Precap: The dreaded and the most awaited...Maza aa gaya Munna and Pandit ko dekh ke...as I said in some other post...Jab tak Sameer ko thappad nahi padta usse kuchh samajh nahi aata...Thappad se uski hili hui wiring thik ho jaati hai...

Zulu no point saying...As per the show...Sam is lucky to have Naina...so Naina can do no wrong...only time she "does" worng is when she herself feels she is wrong. So better stop expecting anything...😕

The Shanti teacher Rakesh angle in my view is for a reason ( although i can't say for sure) I see this as a golden chance for Naina to reflect on the guilt she hasn't particularly felt for her role in not apologising to Sam after discovering the paper stealing issue.. when Sam is down and out.. this may play a role but I don't know how they intend to take this as the timelines don't seem to match, I will be happy if she reflects on this matter when Shanti issue comes up..let's see how it goes!!

I don't think paper stealing is.coming out ever. There are few things in real life too that are better kept secret than revealed. I am not sure what will be the benefit of it being revealed.. every one has moved on... Don't think anyone would now care about it. Arjun is not even in school now..

In YUD we got to see the best ever male redemption track ever in desi sabun world thus far. Fandom's appreciation seems to have pumped up the CVs so much that they might give us another one. 😔

Once was enough CVs!! You messed up the Delhi track terribly. We were all looking forward to seeing Sam bonding with siblings and his mom and see their family dynamics. Not wig and Kedi antics with mawali folks thrown in. So much negativity and logic ki vaat totally killed the feel of the show and butchered characterizations. Now some characters are beyond redemption.

Your post reminded me of a meme..
Women are not rehab centres for badly raised men!!

The problem in narrating love stories in this format is the inability of CVs to strike a balance between showing a love story for its own merit and the angle of commerce. If truth be told most love stories should resolve or reach fruition in a matter of time..( read finite episodes). The conflict angle in love stories can be either intrinsic or extraneous or generally a combo of both. Once that is narrated, we should assume that they had a happily ever after or if they did not...a new serial can be made to get them back together 😆

But this desire to keep playing to the gallery causes the symptoms that you described in the post. Butchering and Martyrdom of characters. As for why the ML is an ideal candidate for butchering and FL ideal for martyrdom, just look around us... the conditioning in society. How many watched and understood BKK? & How many watch other long running sagas!!

In this connection, I have to mention EDKV...when it's promo rolled out..I remember dismissing it as one for the rehab centre..however later I was intrigued by the "Kaun Sumo?" question in its episode and decided to wait around. I was a bit apprehensive of the misogyny angle in the story becos to be honest.. I don't trust sabuns to do any justice to the theme and in the end I was right ( Shravan was shown as a terrible misogynist towards the end but the sadder part was he was made to say sorry to the woman who abandoned him... it was one of the most bizarre plot twists ever!!). Having said that... the story of Sumo never revealed itself to us...Frankly she was a fascinating character, beautifully flawed and glorious at the same time. so much so that I don't think many understood her. The forum was always split between the lead characters and sometimes I feel Jha just gave up on trying to convey Sumo's POV since very few were getting it. He chose the regular path and Ofc the rest is history!!
I don't think many got it that Sumo's only desire was being loved for her own sake by that one individual Shravan..the whole world may ask things of her but her Shravan will understand her...In a narrative, it's tuf to translate that... Jha attempted it thru a dramatic scene Badi Sumo and Choti Sumo convo after Shravan runs amock in her workplace but I don't think many got the essence of that scene. Anyways, my larger point is viewers largely don't delve deep into the characters if written subtly and makers don't persist in narrating well either. So, makers just stick to formulaic stories... a man to be redeemed and a woman to the rescue!! They all want to open rehab centres!!

Nivi,
Great to see your post on this great precap episode.
Eagerly waiting for thappad and if also Pandit could also give some more to Sameer.
First time I could not enjoy Samaina phone convo.
Sameer lying to Naina and Naina's pure heart talk broke the heart.
Wish Sameet pays well for all these. 🥺
