Part 8-
"The younger woman, it was you" Omkara uttered.
Gauri bent down to his level, she had no idea how to make this right
"Yes, but, but it wasnt willingly, you have to understand that, god I didnt even know he was married, he helped me one day, he seemed so nice, so I asked to meet him for some advice and he took advantage of me, but I would never"
Omkara looked straight at her, his elbows rested on his knees and he shoved his hands through his hair and stood up slowly, he scowled down at her menacingly.
Gauri looked up at him, she gulped and stood up "Look I"
"Look at what" he roared "That youre stood here in my house after my father raped you"
Gauri gasped "You believe me"
He put his hand up "I will never be able to take this away or look you in the eye after what he did, yet here you are trying to make me believe you, how can you be so good, how can you even trust me"
He dropped to his knees "I will do everything I can to keep you safe, and that may never be enough because it will never take away what he did" he put his hands together, tears rolling down his cheeks "Im sure everytime you look at me, you see him, but please dont hate me, I would never hurt you like that"
Gauri grabbed his hands and pulled him up, "I would never think of you that way, you're not him and I know that"
"Im so sorry, so so sorry" he shook his head, bowing it straight after
Gauri picked his head up with her hand "This isnt your fault" she stood on her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, burying her face into his neck.
His body racked with sobs, he gripped her waist tightly "Im so sorry"
Gauri pulled back, resting her hand on his cheek "Close your eyes"
"If I do, promise you wont just leave"
"I promise"
He closed his eyes, she began to kiss away his tears
She paused, then pressed her lips to his.
He pulled her in closer, biting into her bottom lip, he kissed her back, she smiled against his lips then pulled away
"Lets get some sleep"
Omkara tucked her hair behind her ear "Okay"
Gauri sat in bed, she looked up at him "Where are you going"
"To bed"
She tapped the space beside her "Come, sit here"
She led down, pulling him down with her
Omkara noted how quickly she had fallen asleep in his arms.
But she couldnt keep living like this, and maybe this was fate, maybe he had to be the man to finally catch his father
He would safeguard her for as long as he possibly could.
He raised his hand, stroking her hair, she was far to important to him now for him to lose

Gauri woke up to see Omkara had already woken up, she walked into the bathroom to get ready quickly, then went to find him.
She found him sitting on the sofa, his eyes were red and the bags under his eyes were dark.
"Did you not sleep"
He shook his head "I want to find him"
Gauri shook her head "I dont think thats a good idea"
"Why, he cant keep getting away with this, I will never let him hurt you again"
"But, what if he hurts you"
Omkara laughed "How can you even care about me after what he did to you"
"Because you care about me"
He stood up "I do, and thats why I have to get him away from you, so you can live in peace"
He looked haunted, Gauri wanted nothing more than to just take this pain away, but she knew from experience that there wasnt anything she could do but stand by his side and thats what she would do!
She took his hand in hers, "Youre not alone" she promised
He pulled her to him, smashing the glass in his hand in his anger
"Omkara ji, what are you"
He shook his head "This isnt anywhere near as bad as what he did to you, ill never forgive myself for that" he promised, he let go and walked into his room, slamming the door
