Part 6-
Gauri squealed as Omkara wrapped an arm around her waist and tugged her closer, her chest hitting his. "I dont know what it is but I just cant seem to get enough of you"
"Oh" Gauri looked up into Omkara's hypnotic eyes, she felt her knees wobble and he chuckled "Its late and you look tired" he whispered, his breath on her neck sent shivers down her spine
He tugged her along back to the house, he waited for her to get to the door, then unlocked his car door
"Wait your" Gauri called but Omkara shook his head "Keep it, it looks better on you than it does me"
Gauri blushed, she waved at him as he drove off, then turned and opened her door, she looked down at the crispy old rose petals on the floor, her breath stuck in her throat
She picked up one of the petals and watched as the blood stained her fingers
She fell back against the door, bile rising in her throat
She had stupidly left the door unlocked, she grabbed her phone from the drawer and called Omkara, she needed to get out of here and now
"Hello, Gauri, look if this is about the jacket"
Gauri couldnt speak "I need, please I"
Omkara slammed the breaks down "Gauri, whats wrong"
She sniffed "Please come back"
Omkara turned the car around quickly and zoomed back to Gauri's house
Finally arriving he got out of the car and she ran into his arms "Hes back, he's back, please just"
Omkara wrapped an arm around her shoulders "Im calling the police"
"No, no please dont, no one can know, please" she begged
Omkara nodded sullenly and took her over to the car
Sitting in next to her, he looked over as she grabbed his hand and pulled it up to her face, her body shook with fear, her eyes wide "Sorry, sorry" she cried
Omkara picked her up, pulling her into his arms "Its okay, shhh shhh"
Omkara started the car "Im just going to drive okay, just sit in the seat"
Gauri nodded and sat back in the passenger seat
When they arrived at Omkara's house, he got her out of the car, lifting her into his arms, he carried her inside and sat down, she tugged on his collar, looking warily around
"You're safe here, I promise"
Gauri slowly let go and nodded
"Im just going to change, ill bring you something to wear"
Gauri looked up "Uh I dont want to be alone"
Omkara smirked "Well you can come with me, but I have a feeling you're to shy for that"
Gauri looked away embarassed and nodded
When she looked back around Omkara was dressed in a dark black t-shirt that hugged his figure and light grey jogging bottoms, he really was handsome and she was happy to have the chance to see him in something comfortable
She took the t-shirt from his hand and walked to his room, then stopped "Trousers"
He shook his head "They would just fall off"
She nodded and went to shut the door
"Youll be right there when im done" she asked
"Promise"
Gauri came back out, the t-shirt reached just above her knees
She looked down, pulling her hair up in a pony tail and walked over to Omkara, sitting next to him on the sofa
Omkara eyed her, sitting on the very edge of the sofa
"You dont have to sit so far away"
Gauri moved over ever so slightly then looked up at him
He shook his head smiling
He rested his head back, closing his eyes, he had so many questions but how could he ask, he didnt want to pressure her
Gauri looked up at his closed eyes, she shuffled closer, lifting his arm up, she looked up again, sighing in relief when his eyes were still shut, she rested her head on his chest, putting his arm around her
She jumped when she heard his voice "If you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was say, not wait till you thought I was asleep"
Gauri dug her face into his chest "Dont tease me Omkara Ji"
Omkara realised this was the first time she had said his name, and he hoped she would say it a lot more, the added 'Ji' had a nice ring to it
Omkara picked her up "You need your sleep after today"
Omkara settled her into the spare room, pressing a kiss to her forehead
She wrapped her fingers around his muscular arm "Cant you stay" she felt stupid for asking, but for all these years she had to deal with all of this alone and she hated it, now she had someone and she craved the company, it was dangerous getting to close because she knew she had to leave again, but maybe just for tonight she could live a life of normality
Because tomorrow wasnt promised, especially not for her
"Im sorry, you don't have to, I was just being silly"
Omkara shook his head "No, I want to, you're crying Gauri"
"Crying" she whispered in shock, lifting her hand she wiped away her tears "Its been so many years since ive cried" she gulped painfully
"Maybe all you needed was a friend"
Gauri looked up at Omkara, if life was normal for her then maybe they could be something one day, he was an amazing man and any girl would be lucky to have him as theirs
But her life wasnt normal, and this would all be a distant memory, she cupped his cheek
"Promise me something"
He raised his brow curiously
"Promise me, that youll live your life happily no matter what happens"
"Gauri what are you"
She shook her head "Just promise"
He nodded
Then led down next to her, opening his arms for her she snuggled into him
Just for tonight she thought
No attachments, just a distant memory.
But no one could control their hearts or fate even if they wished to
So as so many of you have worked out Tej is the little catalyst in my story!
All I shall say is we all know how Tej likes his younger women!
