I feel like its been a while since I made a post like this but with everything that has been happening off screen and fear this show will be ending next month I felt a positive post was needed.
Okay so when I first heard about the track change and Mowgli being Neil and Avni's son I felt the same way many did but thanks to a post on IF by SimiSays I have now changed my mind. This track with Mowgli has a lot of potential and in no way destroys Avni's character because when you think about it this track can actually tie into why she left and how she views herself. Think about it Avni is haunted by Daya's words, this poor girl blames herself for the murders of both her mothers. Avni thinks of herself as a sin child whose shadow brings doom to those she loves the most. If Avni can walk away from her loved ones just to keep them safe, what can't she do for her own child? It is easy to judge Avni but to walk a mile in her shoes would change our perspective in a second. Avni has spent her entire life fighting whether it was for her rights or for her life, she has never had a normal life. This track can help bring back the side of Avni that Neil helped bring to life, who got that acceptance in society, who got a family's love and did not feel driven by revenge. It is time Avni was reminded of how special she is and the fact she is not a curse to anyone, not her family or her child.
Another positive, the truth is coming out about why Avni had to leave in the first place. The timing is perfect for this reveal because there can only be a certain number of times Neil and Avni can have the same conversation about her helplessness v/s his feelings of betrayal. I feel enough time has passed when it comes to Neil's anger, now there needs to be a reveal so the healing process can start. I don't believe the Khannas or Neil will be angry with Avni once they learn the truth about Prakash, when these characters can be shown understanding why Avni left them behind it won't make much sense if they started misunderstanding her now. This track will be about how Avni and Neil find their way back to each other, how they start that healing process especially with the Vidyut chapter now being closed. I'm grateful for the fact our voices were heard when it came to the Sayesha track, it is now back on Avni and Neil who are the focus and not the subplot.
I don't know what the future holds for NK but I will keep fighting while I can because I do love this show and there is still potential. I feel this upcoming twist will work for TRPs because the twists and turns keep coming, it gives fans a reason to watch instead of feeling like things are dragging. Plus you have Kamini who is targeting Avni, there is no telling what she will do next now that she knows about Vidyut being Sayesha's father. Hoping all the positive feedback to the channel and PH work, Aditi and Zain deserve to thrive further in their roles they still have so much pride for this show so it is worth fighting for.
