Discuss: Copyin songs in videomix or not

Hey people... how's u all doing? Its really nice to see RF soo peaceful and calm in past few months!😳 It's really very pleasure to my eyes and ears both😳 I dunno... but i want to discuss some serious issue with you guys...This topic is seriously not meant to fight or anything... its just for sharing and discussing our opinions regarding the issue that i am going to talk about.

As we all know there are loads of talented videomix makers in this wonderful forum that we are sharing... but its very discourageing to know that someone else form the same forum has used your song and made a new mix on it! We all spend a lot of time and effort to make mixes and its not at all motivating to find a second mix on the same song in the forum that we are sharing! I am not saying that we have a right to reserve the song or something but atleast we all should have the courtesy to refrian from posting the videolinks in the forum of mixes made on the same song which hav bene used!!! If the links arn't posted none of us would know that our song per say have bene copied and hence none of us would have any problems what so ever!! And even if the second maker wants to post it in the forum (be it any topic...its not hidden from the 1st maker on this song) he/she should atleast have courtesy to ask that person if he/she can post that videomix!

So i want your vote and opinion regarding this as to what u think whether same song videolinks should be posted in the forum or not without permission of the 1st videomix maker highlighting the point that videomaker shouldnt feel bad and discouraging!! So, please share your opinion people!

Well i think that the song shouldnt been copied... and even if it is... then atleast the second maker should have courtesy so pm the 1st maker and ask her if she could post it or not! I havent been through this situation before... but i definatly know how it feels because all the songs that has been copied before are all my fav. AY videomixes and i felt the same way i am feeling right now!! Tumse Hi... which is definatly close to my heart and havent got that many reactions and reviews before in any other mix like that...has been copied today (would defo. not like the take the maker's name...but u definatly know who u are) personally i feel that its my best mix soo far... and seeing that same song has been used on our very own same forum... its very discouraging! That is seriously an INSULT to my creativity! For some point i seriously felt like not making any mixes more... but well that wont stop from people copying the songs!! So well lets just see where this topics concludes too and i hope people agrees with me and we stop copying the songs!!

Well I will only speak for myself regarding this issue.......n I would like to make it clear that my views regarding the issue have changed to a certain extent.......since earlier I was a victim to only one side of the issue but now I have been a victim to both sides of the issue

There have been instances when a song on which I have made a mix has been used by someone else for making a mix n at the same time there have been instances when I have been thinking of making an a mix on a particular song or probably even started making it but I come up one day on RF n see that someone has used the song for either of the pairs

One of the main reasons responsible for this esp in my case is that some vmix makers take a minimum of 1 to 2 hours n a maximum of one day to make a mix......n honestly speaking I take a minimum of 3 weeks to make a mix...coz I make it in parts.....since I dont have that much time everyday to spend on making vmixes n do it mostly on wknds....so wat happens is that inbetwn those 3 weeks someone comes up n posts a completed version of the mix n my mix is still left incomplete

Another thing that I said is that maybe I listen to a song n decide to make a mix on it but due to lack of time or any other reason I havent been able to download the song as yet.....n wat happens is that the super fast mix makers have already downloaded the song n also made a mix on it.

Now honestly speaking in either of these cases I personally dont feel the need to apologise or seek permission from the " original " vmix maker coz I havent copied the song deliberately but still I would be courteous enough to pm the person n inform him/her abt it

But yes if I am aware that a vmix on a particular song has been long made by someone else be it by fans of any pair then obv I would seek permission from the original vmix maker b4 proceeding to make the vmix.....n this is something I have been following all along

On the other hand sorry to say that there r certain ppl on the forum from whom I would never seek permission for anything.......but still if I am very much inclined to make a mix on the same song made by him/her then well I would make it n just post it on youtube n not make a post abt it in the forum n just inform my friends thru ym or pm.....this way it wont hurt the person who has already made a mix on it....coz the ppl who matter have already seen the mix without hurting the other persons feelings

As for songs being copied ....well wat I feel is that there r certain mixes which r very close to someones heart....n someone else copying them will surely hurt the vmix makers feelings....I can completely understand wat u felt like nitz esp coz u have been praised a lot for this mix of urs......I have been thru the same too n I know it hurts a lot initally but gradually u become so used to it that it doesnt affect u any longer.....atleast it doesnt affect me any more....n I have decided that I am gonna make mixes on whichever song I wanna make....without bothering abt others....be it by copying or nocopying......just as the others have been doing for so long

well i havent come across such issue that much as this was first time i made a mix and when i was making half of it other person had made a mix in same song but i asked that person if i can continue with my mix and then i also thought i should change my vmix song so i changed it


so i think if ever anybody has to make a mix on same song she should ask other person who has made it for permission

i dont know about your case but on other hand someitmes maybe other persom mustnt have seen that a mix on same song has been made already as it maybe a old song so he cont with his mix and post it

i think we should have a topic where all song on which a mix has been made and which are going to be made should be written or be reserved with vmix maker name so that if it is any old song or any song is same song we are making then we know that song mix has been made already so that we refrain from making it or ask person for his permission

hey nitz_rocks i agree wid u totally i wudnt like my songs being copied by anyone so i understand how u must have felt wen i made a vediomix on da song which u had already made a videomix on .truely speaking i had no idea abt da song being used earlier as i have neva eva checked topics on ay so wud like to apologize on tat n have removed da videomix i made from youtube n other then dis song have absolutely no clue if i had again used ur or copied ur songs.if i wud have known tat der is an videomix aready made on da same song i wud have neva eva made dis videomix.....

frankly speaking i agreee wth every1 .... lemme start up wth wat nitzy said...i treuly truely agree wth her.... now if sum1 makes a mix on pehli nazar d mix i made on ay and jag soona soona d mix on tr dat i made and if sum1 else make on dis two songs i wud surley feel hurted becoz dis two r indeed d closet of ma heart and mayb sum otehr ppl ...liek pehli nazar for ay and jag soona soon for tr .....i wud reli feel upset...i maself remmebr wen i was making tr mix on masha-aalah and dat time was chatting wth nitzy she told she was making ay mix on same song as a gift for smriti since it was sum's gift dats y i immediately stopp making d mix and scrappeed ma mix....same thng happeen wen i was making hey shona d only diff dat time was dat i didnt knew dat v cud nt make mixes on same songs as i wanst aware much but wen i knew i stopped making dat mix also....den sum1 else had idneed made a mix on same song on vic i had once made and der was bit argument also but dat was resolevd later on becoz dat person didnt knew dat a mix was alredy made on it(i thnk dat person mite know so nt naming .....and mayb no1 mistake)....and ya liek nitzy said its like insult 2 our creativty i agree wth dat i wud reli feel insulted now if sum1 makes a mix on pehli nazar or jag soona or ne of ma other mixess......

sometiems it may also happen dat two ppl r making a mix on same song and co-incidently dey post at same time vic happened wth me and nitzy wne v bth made a mix on mp3 and co-incidnetly v posted at same tiem den i thnk its no1's mistake.....dt thng can b considered as fine .....

ashita i agree wth u sumhow on dis point .....i do take less time 2 make mixes but ya last 3 or 4 mixe si amd eit tuk me aporx 2 weeks becoz i ahd staretd making mxies long bacc ...due 2 ma 12th studiesss and even i made in partsss its just i simultaneoulsy start 2 or 3 mixess as i make mxi of ay and tr bth ....so its liek one ay and oen tr .....and ya if in between sum1 had post a mxi on same song den i liek u said our mix wud b left incomplete dne in dis case i rlei thnk dat v shdu ask dat mix makerr dat as v haf alredy ade a mix ond si song and its almost half way cud v post ...i knwo how it feels dat u haf bene wokring since so mny days and sum1 else in lesss tiem makess but eher i thnk its no-1 mistake v cnat blame ne1 over here....yet i lei thnk ur point is porperly valid.....
