Chapter 11

Prem went to the door to see who knocked on the door. After opening the door, he saw the face of his younger brother.

" Tu yaha? " Prem asked his brother in a little surprised voice.

" Aap bhi na bhaiya bhul gaye kya!aap hi ne to kaha tha maitressle aane ke liye, kamal karte hain?" Preet told Prem.

" Wo mein to bhul hi gaya. Aaj ye maitress mera bahut kaam ayega." Prem remarked.

Preet gave the maitress to Prem. Preet understood how his Prem bhaiya was facing a tough situation. However he hoped that his Heer bhabi would be oroven as tye right girl for his Prem bhaiya.

Heer on the other hand observed that, Prem was taking mattress from Preet. Heer recognized that, Prem was planning to sleep on the floor. Prem was sacrificing his comfort to make her feel comfortable in her bed. Her respect for her husband increases more after seeing that.

" Kya aap floor pe soyenge?" Heer asked Prem.

" Ha, mera maane to yahi sabse best option hein. Kyunki iss room mein koi sofa nahi aur room mein sofa lane ki condition bhi nahi hein, iss liye mattress se hein kaam chalana padega." Prem told Heer.

Prem thought that, Heer might feel uncomfortable if he would sleep in the bed therefore, he asked Preet few hours ago to make arrangement of mattress.

However, Heer felt that, she could not let Prem sleep on floor. Prem could catch a cold if he would sleep that way. In her opinion, Prem should not feel uncomfortable because of her comfort.

Heer also remembered that, how she promised Gayetri about taking care of Prem as he had selfless tendencies. Therefore, Heer decided to make things comfortable for Prem as much as possible.

Heer also knew that, she could trust her husband. Prem Juneja was a man of honor and integrity. Heer thought she could expect decent behavior from Prem.

" Prem ji floor pe soyenge to thand lag jayega. Aur floor mein soyenge to acche se nind bhi ayega. Agar aap ki koi apattoi nahi hein to aap ye bed share kar sakte meri saat, aap bed ke right side pe so sakte he hein, mein left side mein so longi." Heer told Prem gently.

Prem was obviously touched after seeing how much Heer was caring about her. She knew him for very few days, she was not expecting to marry him, but still she was making sacrifice by offering to share her bed for his sleeping arrangement. His respect for her as a person touched a new high because of that.

"Ji aap sure hein ki aap ko isse koi pereshani nahi hongi?" Prem gently asked her.

Heer smiled after seeing that, Prem was still thinking about her comfort level.

" Ji nahi ye bed bahut bada hein, iss mein asani se hum dono so sakte hein."Heer told Prem.

"Thanks."

Prem took right side of the bed and Heer took left side of the bed.

" Heer ji, aap ko mein shayed batana bhul gaya ki kaal mujhe hamara naya Jumeja mansion ke liye furniture choose karne jana padega, kya aap cholegi mere saat?" Prem asked Heer.

Heer thought about the whole thing. If she replied in affirmative then they would went outside together as first time as husband and wife, she did not what would happen, but she decided to take positive approach.

" Ha jarror." Heer told Prem.

There were silences of few minutes before Prem again spoke to Heer.

"Heer ji maime suna ki aap Ludhiana law college mein part time Professor tecaher ki roop mein join kar rahe hein?" Prem again asked her.

" Ha, mujhe laggi ki ye meri law career ke liye acchi hogi. Aap ko kya lagta hein." Heer asked Prem.

Heer knew that, Gayetri would treat her as a daughter not a daughter in law and she would support her in her career choice.

She was also hopeful, as Junejas were socially progressive as a family but her still need to hear Prem's response to make things more clear.

" Mera bhi yahi manna hein. Ye opportunity aap ke liye bahut accha hogi. Iss ki waja se app bahut sare laws ko acche se study aur discuss kar payengi. Aap kI taddaki wah kei hi tarif ki kabil hein." Prem remarked.

Heer blushed after hearing the praise. She felt warmth in her heart after once again realizing understanding and supporting nature of her husband.

It was clear to her that, Prem would give his best to make this relationship work. She now could see the hope of making their relationship fully work soon. She was also little stunned after learning how much their thinking, thought process, mindset, world view, nature, like, dislikes were matching with each other. It was simply too rare and yet very interesting to her.

It seemed like he was her male version and she was his female version. Heer did not why they had so many similarities or why she felt comfortable and secure around him. In her opinion, all of these things could indicate that, they had a predestined connection with each other and they had potentials to become a successful couple.

With a new hope for better Heer slowly fallen in sleep.

Prem on the other hand was also thinking about their future. He could see that there was a mutual respect between both of them and both of them started to trust and care each other more clearly.

Prem also recognized that, both of them had a very good level compability, which was very rare. Yes, Heer was two years older than he was but for Prem it was not a thing that deserves importance.

He wanted to build a relationship with Heer in a deeper level with mutual respect, love, trust. For Prem, there was definitely hope for a better future.

Soon he fell into sleep.

When Prem woke up in the morning, he felt different. It took few moments for him to recollect what happened in yesterday. Yesterday changed his life forever. Prem felt today would be a new beginning for him as he woke up in the morning first time as a married man.

Marriage is one of the three defining moments of human life along with birth and death. Prem looked at the woman who was peacefully sleeping beside him in bed. Prem observed her face closely. There were innocence and clam in that beautiful face. According to Prem, she was looking like an angel.

Prem once again recognize that, how Heer made a big decision by deciding to marry him. Prem could understand that even for a high-educated woman accepting a younger husband in an arranged marriage was a very difficult thing.

However, after interacting with her in previous night he could see the potentials of their relationship. They would have to take steps cautiously but Prem was glad that, they had already built some level of mutual understanding.

Prem felt that, he should fresh himself up; therefore, he decided to leave the bed. However, he was careful to not disturb Heer.

In another part of Maan household

Preet was little shocked when his Prem bhaiya did not come for morning exercise but at the same time, Preet could understand the special circumstances regarding Prem.

He was thinking about Prem and Heer. Preet realized that, their marriage happened in special circumstances but Preet still thought that at the end of the day Prem and Heer's relationship would work.

According to Preet both Prem and Heer had too many similarities regarding their mindset, worldview, thinking, nature, like and dislike and because of that both of them would share good compability with each other.

Preet also started to think about the free spirited and beautiful Meher. Until today, Preet did not think seriously about any girls. Nevertheless, he was feeling Meher was different from others. Preet found something unique and attracting in Meher.

Preet was surprised when Meher told him that, she did not consider herself beautiful. Preet clearly disagree with her in that matter.

In his eyes, she was uniquely beautiful, Preet found cuteness in her every antics. Preet understood how traditional society still today had some old fixed rules about defining beauty and because of that some narrow minded people would not consider her beautiful and Meher was affected by their opinion.

However, Preet felt a desire to make Meher understand that, human beauty could never be one-dimensional. Preet did not know why he was thinking more about Meher nowadays. However, Preet knew one thing for sure he liked her company; he liked to spend times with her.

" Kya mujhe Meher ki dosti chayyiye?" He asked himself.

"Mujhe to nahi lagta tumhe sirf uski dosti chayyiye, jis tadkike se tumhare dil mein uske liye jasbat bar rahe usse dekke to lagta hein tumhe Meher ki sirf dost nahi aur bhi kutch banna chahata ho." Another part of his mind remarked.

"Waise kutch nahi hein ha mujhe uska saat accha lagta hein, lekin ye sirf dosti bhi ho sakte hein, saat hi saat wo mera second cousin hein to jahir se baat hein mera ek alag comfortable level bhi hein uske saat iss waja se." Preet tried to rationalize his feelings for Meher.

" Tum aur mein hum dono acche tadike se janta hein saach kya hein. Hum duniya se to apna feeling choopa sakte hein, lekin khud se nahi. Preet apne dil ki dhadkan ko padne ki koshish karo tumhe pata chal jayega ki tumhare dil mein kisi ne dasdak dena shuru kar di hein aur uske naam M se shuru hoti hein.

Aur rahi baat second cousin ki, Ashlesha bhi to tumhara second cousin hein tum to uske saat comfortable nahi ho, usse dektei tum dur bhag te ho.

Isliye Preet sacchyi ko apna lo, tumhare liye acche hoga." Another part of Preet told him in his mind.

" Lekin ye sab jaldi nahi ho raha hein?" Preet asked himself.

" Dilo ka rishta hi kutch aisa hota hein. Kab ho jay insan ko khud pata nahi chalta." Other part of Preet replied to him in his mind.

Preet decided to listen his heart, he would not restrain his feelings for Meher, he wanted to see where his feelings for Meher would take him.
