For me the most menacing movie villains were:
Gabbar Singh
SRK - darr
Bhallala deva Bahubali
Nasseudin shah - Mirch masala
Language Tyagi - Omkara
Ajay Devgan - Company
Arjun Rampal - rajneeti

The more fun , camp, playing to gallery villains
Mogambo
Hrithik D2 (not exactly villain)
Khilji ranveer

There are more but skipping my mind now

Also SRK in Anjaam was also a powerful performance and Baazigar too...infact no one plays a dark negative character better than SRK.😛

Urmila in Kaun was pretty creepy

But Ashutosh Rana in Dushman was the scariest villain IMO

The most iconic villains has to be

1. Gabbar Singh - Sholay, audience still remembers his iconic dialogue to his 3 men "Kitne Aadmi they" and the conversations.

2. Mogambo - Mr.India, his famous dialogue "Mogambo Khush huwa".

3. Pran - do not remember the movie name but the dialogue "Mona darling"

4. Ashotosh - in Dushman.

5. SRK - Darr "Kkkiran" stammer but for me his best has to be Anjaam.

I like when they do not make apologetic villains, who can actually make you hate their character.

Even Kajol was good in Gupt and Urmila in Pyar tuney Kya Kia.

Ashutosh Rana in Dushman and Sangharsh scared the hell out of me 😳

Mogambo and Gabbar Singh are unmatched.

Amrish Puri in DDLJ and Rani Mukherjee in KKHH 😡 😆

Akshay Khanna in Race and Humraaz.

SRK in Darr and Kajol in Gupt.

Nasir in Sarfarosh 😡 .

Nana Patekar in Agnisakshi. Akshay Kumar in Ajnabi.

Recent addition is Khilji.

Ajay Devgan had negative shades in Company but I wouldn't say he was a proper baddie. An example of him being a true villain was Deewangee which not many actors can do even if their life depended on it.
