Yes. Padmavati should have been released, that too on time as originally planned. Our country shouldn't give into or negotiate with terrorists.

Well exactly ..this is what some historians said, the way khilji is portrayed to please rajputs is that is where distortion is but even that didn't help . If indian muslims were as touchy as rajputs then they could have raised objection but then why would they ..khilji was just a muslim ruler not a god to them .

Of course it should be released. If people have an issue with a movie, book, show don't watch it. It will flop and be forgotten. As long as the CBFC clears it, it should be released. I also have a problem with the CBFC, it should nit censor just rate films but that is a different topic

But the other factor and view is that

1. Why write the role of Khilji with a male lead actor.? Critics say that cast a real villain,,who can be hated..not a popular actor who is an icon. Reduce the importance of khilji. Dont glorify him

2. This film brings back that pain which is part of history. While watching the movie that horrific incident and activities of those ruthless foreign invaders and rulers is played live .

As an audience i agree with the above two points also as much i loved the movie.

I do feel angry thinking at Alauddin Khilji... I feel that what can LUST make a man reduce into.
Not long back but in 1971 history tells us how during Bangladesh liberation war ,Pak army mass raped bangaldeshis.
Thats how armies are motivated in the lines of khiljis who would take women , children under harems after the war

Did the movie want you to become like Khilji, do you think anyone will start raping and killing watching Khilji?I don't think so. Besides we have had movie glorifying Dawood and other gangsters. They are still living and harming society, Khilji is long dead and so grotesque and villainous that there is no risk of the youth wanting to imitate him

I just wanted the movie to release to avoid encouraging gunda raj in the country. Who are these people to dictate terms? And today it's a movie, tomorrow they'll come up with something else and start bashing up kids. Should this kinda behavior be tolerated and we should bend before them? No! I'm glad the movie released despite their threats and now hope they get punished but it won't happen since ministers want criminal's votes.
