Slowly sam babu is taking rakesh's place in naina's heart in same way how naina took vishaka's place in his heart. The day she confesses her love to sam she'll completely stops expecting any kind of mental support from her father

I have objection to showing such mentality in 90s.

In fact, 90s brought major change in society and parents stated practicing gender equality. Most families took pride in their over achieving daughters too.

But this is TV show, so they are showing it as if this was very normal at that time.

Even I have objection. 90s was a time of revolution. ppl came out from lots of different mental and social problems. Look at Taujee...he supported Naina to go for study tour. Although he is Rakesh's elder bro and keeps praying during "Mahabharat". 😛 Still he believed that Naina jaisi student ko study trip mein jana chahiye. Even Tayjee changed her attitude towards Shefali for Pralay. Although still needs to go long way...but change toh hua.
The only exception in this entire serial is Rakesh. Because his mentality is not because of 90s. He himself is a mental patient. Sometimes I feel really angry and annoyed the way he calls Sameer "mere naukar". 😡 The guy has zero sense of dignity. Or else who brings his student as a naukar in a house where he lives under other's charity. 😡 Shameless boloon toh woh bhi kaam hoga. I feel disgusted when he slaps Sameer or yells at Naina because she is a girl. Don't feel like to watch those disgusting gali galwaz he keeps saying against kids/students. Specially this guy is portrayed as a "Shikshak"..."Teacher". I can't believe a teacher could be so low class!!!! 😡 That's why I think they should not bring a character so down ...after all teacher hai. He beats Sameer violently like a street tapodi. Who grabs collar of a teenager who is his student like that? 😡 I feel disturbed when I see those scenes.
But it is true his kind of disgusting men still lives in our society like they used to live in 90s. Just that back at 90s ppl used to tolerate them more... now they get punishment either by their family or by the society. Because enough is enough.

Completely agree with you!! Agreed that Taiji and Taujee are a little old-fashioned, but practically everyone in the house was so proud of Naina for her achievements...I don't even understand what is this Rakesh's problem...he's in the same school too...if anything, Naina's award will increase his respect as well!

He is so besharam...the kind of gunda who can go to the principal's office and demand 5 lakhs from one of the most well-respected men in the city...can show up at the same man's house and shout at him in the middle of the night. No shame and respect for his elderly buaji (even Taiji keeps quiet in front of her)...he just started complaining about Sameer being a naukar when she just happened to ask who is he...the problem with Rakesh isn't simply about being a bad parent; he is an embarassing human being in total. Stupid guy lives for free in his brothers' house and has the audacity to shout at them...how besharam can a man become...and to be honest, does he really care about Arjun? We all saw how he was scaring the poor boy so much he couldn't perform...and the worst part is when he was in the hospital in pain, Rakesh was shouting at his chacha chachi to leave and kept telling Arjun "you have to get better to become cricket champion!" What a complete loser
