Oh I am so sorry wasn't aware that such topic has been showed on TV.. thanks :)

Yes maryada contentwise was extremely bold...other than the above-mentioned themes there was also a gay track...after maryada I believe sp is ready for dsjz...trust me maryada was even more bold and it crossed 400 episodes which means it had high trp...however I don't believe dsjz will be a mega show...Sanjay Kapoor won't do such shows for sure

sanjay kapoor and nikki walia wont be a part of this show ifbthey ruin the storyline. I read that nikki walia is flying to and fro from us to india for tvis show since she is settled there.
Sanjya kapoor is a producer as well. So they both dont need to be part of show if its not worth it

Yeah...Aahana and Anant's relationship is not the main aim of this show...I think the makers really wanted to gain trp and misguided the viewers by not executing the scenes accurately. I actually see no similarity between cheeni kum and Ananat-Ahana here...in Cheeni Kum, there was genuine love and instant compatibility. Both Tabu and Amitabh's characters were very honest with themselves and each other...you can see none of it here...both of them rushed into the marriage without giving it a proper thought...even now, Ahana being all happy for being pregnant and saying that she loves him so much, you can see the desperate attempt from her side to prove her mother wrong. That is why she does not want this relationship to fail at this point in her life. Ahana has done no introspection really to try and understand her feelings and be honest with herself. I don't think she is madly in love with Anant. If they stick to the original story line, you will see how she madly falls in love with Rehaan and the layers of her personality are revealed. She keeps going back to him despite the red flags.

That brings me to the next point. Honestly, I think the ending of the original series was very convincing. I am not glorifying the suicide, but when they reveal the layers of Ahana's personality, you will understand why she committed suicide. I won't reveal too much of the story. But deep down, she really craves for love and that is what made her happy at the end of the day. Unfortunately, her happiness is short-lived. Her life just became a huge mess at the end due to all the complications.

I would really recommend if you want to enjoy the series, keep an open mind to the way the story flows. This is not the typical drama that we are used to watching on Indian tv. Nobody is dhudh ka dhoola hua and mahaan here. The series really explores real human emotions...everyone is selfish to some extent and thinks from their perspective, even our own people...it also shows how making right choices along the way is so important...it shows that we may make wrong choices, but the actions that we take after realizing the wrong choice also decides the course of our life. I hope star plus for once forgets about the trp and really focuses on the quality and content. Poor execution and unnecessary drag within an episode at times doesn't allow me to enjoy the series as much as I enjoyed watching the original version.

Fully agree. This is an adaptation of a story and I would expect to see it play out as the original. Suicide is not an answer to life's problems but it does happen with people with mental problems. Ahana appears strong minded but she had and has mental issue from the beginning of this storry in that she could not cope with her father's death and the issues surrounding it. To build your life on "revenge" and not learn to cope or forgive nay not seem like mental issues but these are infact a cry for help and llike it or not requires professional help. I do hope this show is appreciated for the storyline and that the CVs do not bring in typical "soapy suds!" The story is strong enough to move forward without it.

Well hi I'm new in the forum
But I agree the show is focusing Anant Ahana too much
From the promos I thought that it was a taboo story of an aged man a young girl
I didn't know at that time that it was the adaption from the Turkey show
But then I read the Turkey version and I was just what the hell I thought it was Anant Ahana story
Be honest if it would start like a individual story I mean no adaption I would have loved to see Ahant but not now...
It is just so awkward now...
The makers should have been careful about it...

Yesss.. exactly... They glorified their relationship so much in the beginning that people like you and me who didn't know anything about the Turkish Serial thought that this serial was all about a young girl falling in love with a middle aged man... Hence started emotionally investing in those two...
But yeah... Now after watching today's episode I am so excited for Rehaan and Aahana track...

Rehaan you are a true man who had the courage to confess your mistake and even had the courage to bear the punishment unlike Anant... Anant's character was so misleading... Initially thought he was the mature one but he is the most immature guy in the serial...

Totally agree with you!! For a grown ass man he sure is very immature and he's a father to 19 year old and you'd think he would have more patience and would be more forgiving but he's really too much.
Actually the characters are slightly different from the original...ive seen few episodes of original and adnan was not so annoying

anant wasnt this annoying and ahana wasnt so pitiful in the turkish version. i guess laila is the same and rehaan is better than his turkish counterpart till now.

I know and i know from day one that this marriage shouldn't take place
it happened for wrong reasons and we all know it won't work if both not working on it
u can't put all blame on one person, both are married, need to work on it
it happened in few days after liking each other, instead of being friends 1st
knowing each other as friends, as bf gf, no direct marriage.
everything after that happened like a rush full on speed.
she will cheat on her husband just because of her rush decisions, today do tomorrw cry why i did.
