Aanchal was downright embarrassing in court. I couldn't bear to watch her. After all that bravado, and that very unsubtly interjected commentary about her being so academically talented - she was humiliated in court.

I wish there was more of a build-up. Writers should have shown her excelling in at least a couple of other cases before she was defeated in court by a person who isn't even a lawyer. The last episode has left the resounding impression of Aanchal as an incompetent lawyer who is all bark and no bite.

Well I have a doubt that is slightly different than the ones raised here. Did the Raichands actually hire a lawyer Ranvir or were they banking on Kabir to save the day? Because in the episode only Anchal was seen speaking. No-one defended Ranvir.

Another thing. How can a civilian come and state facts in the court. Isn't that contempt of court? If the evidence was to be presented, then it should have been presented by the Raichand's lawyer and not Kabir. Or am I wrong?

Aanchal went up against two men who are as smart if not smarter than her. We already know that Ranvir is intelligent and Kabir has also proven himself. In an off-screen promotional FB segment, Zayed Khan as Ranvir Raichand essentially stated that Kabir is smart. Aanchal underestimated the brothers even after repeated warnings from both of them and she fell flat on her face. Either she is incompetent and needs to toss out her degrees or she let her emotions get the best of her.

The other scenario is that Aanchal from the beginning is up to something and she did all this on purpose. Although, I am not yet of this opinion, I am keeping it on the table just so I can reconcile with Aanchal's sheer incompetence on Friday.

There were defence barristers on the bench, but prosecution presents their case first and before the Raichands' undoubtedly accomplished legal team could argue their case, Kabir crashed the court with elan and aplomb.

The Judge did begrudgingly claim that Kabir was in contempt of the court, but even he looked slightly intimidated. It was honestly just for drama. If the defence attorney presented the case, it wouldn't have been nearly as dramatic as it was when Kabir did it, so the writers decided to forgo basic rules of litigation and legal procedure for the sake of entertainment.

Let's just chalk it up to creative liberty and accept that writers aren't going to be realistic.

OK my mother is a criminal lawyer so I'm kinda qualified to answer this question.

First of all, no, Aanchal doesn't have the right to fight against the case against Raichands.

She , as an activist, only has a right to ensure that the villains get the right punishment , and as such, can be present in the sessions.

But the case will be fought by a government prosecutor

I am sort of confused as to what Aanchal is. Is she just an activist or a lawyer? Generally Government prosecutors take up cases like these, but she can too, only and only if she is a lawyer. (Pro bono cases). I am a 3rd year law student and am quite appalled as to how they handled the court scene. First, the court would have ordered Kabir to get out the court room itself for disturbing it's proceedings. Then, the defence attorney should have been the one to address the judge, not Kabir. The judge himself seemed too scared. In all, they need to really work on the show.

P.S. Sorry if I hurt anyone's sentiment.
