Golmaal Again has emerged the biggest HIT of 2017 for the Hindi film industry with another huge day on Saturday. The film was coming of the biggest national holiday of the year and normally films show a noticeable drop after this holiday but Golmaal Again is less than 10% down with collections set to be around 28 crore nett. The film got extra screenings where Secret Superstar was not doing well which has meant more capacity for the film on the second day and this has cushioned the drop on day two. The two day collections of the film will be around 58 crore nett.
The film is being driven by Mumbai circuit which is set for another day of 11 crore nett plus. The Gujarat / Saurashtra belt is just phenomenal and is looking set for a huge run. The key is the North where the previous Golmaal films have under performed but this film has been excellent over the first two days.
It is looking like the first real big grosser of the year but it will be the crucial Monday that will confirm that. the trend of the film is huge so far as it might have got extra screens on day two but still has to get the audience into the theatres and this is a good sign for the long run.
