But what if the legal heirs are incapable of becoming kings or queens? Then the kingdom can be ruled by wife of the king until one of their grandchildren is deemed capable.
Let's take this Waaris case for instance.
Amba does not have sons. All the daughters are married and they are no longer Pawanias.
What if Babli becomes the next Shah? Or if Sukhi had been capable, he could have too.
Or in this case as Sukhi isn't capable, his son or daughter could be.
Amba becomes Shah and is later succeeded by Babli or one of Sukhi's children.

You could say that even if the daughters are married they are blood Pawanias. But Preet in now a Bajwa - legally. If she isn't at the moment, she would be.
So a non Pawania becoming a Shah of the Pawanias sounds weirder.

Preet could still become the Shah of the Pawanias because she was Shah even before she became a Bajwa. But a Bajwa contesting for a Pawania Shah seems really weird.


Or a Pahuja contesting for Shah for that matter.

It could be a possibility though. Since they are trying to break stereotypes by bringing in a woman Shah. But this seems too much of a deviation from the norm.

European monarchies work(/ed) like this. The child of the current monarch becomes the next monarch, even if the monarch only has daughters. If the next monarch is a daughter, the royal house changes but everything else is still the same i.e. one of her children becomes the next monarch.

Even the Monarchies in India used to function like this. Except the daughters never came into picture.

Yeah. It's IS scary.
But then again Amba has been a Pawania for more number of years than Preet. So does that not make her more Pawania than Preet? 😆

This is all getting too much for me!
But my point is- I don't want Amba as Shah. Because she isn't capable of being one.
She would be a worse Shah than Jagan. IMO.

I voted for her... Until Babli comes of age... One of Amba's daughters becoming shah will result the power in Amba's hands only... So no difference... Please don't tell me Preet won't be like that... She was ready to marry a girl and ruin her life and her own just because Amba said so... If Amba hadn't out Raj was Raj Bajwa she would have had a wife by now... I rather Amba than Jagan though... The former is a better person and parent than the latter... She never tried to kill her daughters directly... She almost drove Gunjan and Preet to suicide by forcing marriage upon them... That didn't happen because Gunjan got fond of the guy and Preet ran of with a guy she liked (that was a total disaster 😕). Raavi or Sukhi will also mean the same thing... Amba will get power... So till Babli is of age Amba is the best hope... The only thing I have against Babli is her fondness for Raj jeejaji... A kid won't be able to be comfortable with a guy who dumped her sister at the altar... She saw the entire drama in the temple... A real kid would recoil from a guy like that 😕. But Babli is like Raj jeejaji this and Raj jeejaji that... But she is definitely a smart kid... If Amba is shah then atleast Babli would be protected... She and her sisters would be able to sleep without the fear of getting sold off by Jagan (a lost cause if I ever saw one)...

Amba and power wouldn't go well. As it is she's a gone case. She's hell bent on ruining everyone's life. Now if she gets power in her hands, God save her daughters.
She would be Ammaji part 2.

She may not be worse than Jagan, but she won't be any better either.
