It's a no from me too.
But my reasons are different. She does not need to have the Pawania blood in her, but she's married into one and that makes her enough Pawania to become Shah.

For anyone to become a leader equality and impartiality are very important. Amba does not have that in her.
She would take decisions out of selfishness and that cannot be good for the people.
This was evident in the first scene after the leap where a young Bajwa - Pawania couple wanted justice.
Amba was not interested in justice. She was only interested in spiting the enemy and winning a point.

She would not treat men and women equal either. For her, becoming Shah would mean she would have the right to boss over men and show them down.

She would be more interested in giving the Bajwas a bad time than doing any good for her own people.
Amba would become pure evil if she has power in her hands.

I don't agree with the marriage/blood thing. Let's agree to disagree about that.

Yeah, Amba would be all about destroying the Bajwas. Ironically, that's why she never wanted Jagan to be Shah in the first place.

Maybe Amba would be the next villain 😕
Aarti was complaining that she does not have any role these days.
So have they decided to make her powerful?
Because power would make Amba evil and what better way to ensure that she remains a powerful character in the soap?
I hope they don't plan on making Amba like Ammaji from NAIDL!

You are entitled to your opinion, but I am curious. Why do you feel that? Because the title of the soap is "Waaris'?

OMG, Ammaji. A first class tyrant.

I'm not quite sure how to explain it. It just doesn't feel right, to me. It changes the line of succession. A king's daughter becoming queen regnant is one thing but a king's wife becoming queen regnant is another. Maybe it doesn't matter anyway, considering all of Amba's children were fathered by Charan. After her passing, one of their kids would get it anyway. Or one of Jagan's.

Oh I see.
But according to law, the wife is entitled to her husband's property.
The children come into picture only after the wife. Or?
We have had a few queens in history too who have succeeded their husbands. Rani Laxmibai from India and Cleopatra. Two names that come to my mind at the moment.

Cleopatra's husbands were also her brothers so... she did have a blood claim.
I've only ever heard of king's wives becoming queens in their own rights if the king died without legitimate children.

Hmmm
You have a point there. Although I do not see a reason why the wife should not succeed her husband even if they have a legitimate child 😕
Oh well! As you said, to each his own!
