Siddiquee reacts to Hrithik's Official statement

Reacting to Hrithik Roshan's first-ever public statement, Kangana Ranaut's lawyer Rizwaan Siddiquee says that there is no reason why Kangana would fabricate a relationship.

Hrithik Roshan has broken his silence, and now everyone is waiting to see how actor Kangana Ranaut would react to Hrithik dismissing Kangy's claims of an affair with him. In his first statement ever about the issue, Hrithik has made his side clear. He says he has never met Kangana "in private.

While Kangana remained unavailable for a comment, HT contacted her lawyer, Rizwaan Siddiquee. We asked him some pertinent questions that Hrithik's statement raises, and here's what Siddiquee has to say on Kangana's behalf:

Hrithik: An alleged 7-year long, passionate affair between two high profile celebrities with no trail left behind. Nothing that constitutes an exchange or any sort of proof of a romantic relationship.

Question: How is it possible that Kangana doesn't have any evidence to prove her relationship with Hrithik?

Siddiquee: My client was dating Hrithik, who was a married man at that time. And the fact remains that Hrithik never allowed her to take any kind of pictures or keep any kind of data, which would suggest any kind of relationship, for a simple reason that he had to protect his image.

Hrithik: The truth is, I have never met the lady in question one on one in my entire life. Yes, we have worked together, but there has been no meeting in private. That's the truth

Question: Hrithik maintains that there was no relationship between him and Kangana. What do you have to say in Kanagana's defence?

Siddiquee: My client denies these statements made by Hrithik, and she maintains that there was a relationship. She did not have any good reason to fabricate a false relationship. My client has also been made to look like a patient having mental disability and in this regard, my client categorically states that she and Hrithik have a common doctor and had there been any mental disability, the same would have been known to the doctor, among other people.

Hrithik: No evidence, no paparazzi pictures, no witnesses, not even a memento in possession like a selfie taken at the alleged engagement which is claimed to have happened in Paris in Jan 2014. My passport details show no travel outside the country in Jan 2014, which is the date that this alleged engagement supposedly took place in Paris.

Question: Then, where do Kangana's engagement claims come from?

Siddiquee: First and foremost, I don't think Kangana has said anything of this sort personally. I don't recollect my client or her sister making this statement. This all has come via sources and not my client. To the best of my knowledge, my client has never personally claimed that any engagement took place in Paris.

Hrithik: I have surrendered all my devices including laptops / phones etc which are still lying with the cyber cell, but the other party has refused to do so. The investigation hasn't been closed.

Question: Why has Kangana not surrendered any evidences to help the authorities investigate the matter?

Siddiquee: Kangana has fully cooperated with the law and investigating agencies and Hrithik very well knew since May 2014 that Kangana's emails were hacked and that he was personally accused of being the hacker. On what grounds did Hrithik go on receiving unverified emails from a hacked account and did not even bother to clear his name and image of being a hacker? He meticulously saved all these emails, which were fabricated and unreliable only to create a story for later use. Why has Hrithik always maintained that he was trying to protect Kangana all along? Why did he not bother to get these emails checked from her instead of using this against her? It's a matter of record that till date, the emails have not been shown to my client or me as her counsel.

Hrithik: There are 3,000 one-sided e-mails which either I have sent to myself or the woman in question has sent to me. The Cyber-Crime Dept. can prove or disprove either story, in just a few days.

Question: How will Kangana prove that she hasn't sent those mails?

Siddiquee: All e-mails are hacked. My client clearly says that except for maybe 10-15 emails, which she may have sent on Hrithik's other e-mail id, all other e-mails are unverified, fabricated and used for obvious reasons. This is a miserable attempt on the part of Mr Hrithik Roshan to continuing using emails from her hacked account without authenticating the source.
