Sure.

We have moved on from Mohd Rafi/Kishore Kumar to SLB/Udit Narayan/Kumar Sanu to sonu/shaan/kk to ... atif/Ankit/Amit.. and the music producers... to actors singing their own song.

We've moved on from trained classical singers who used to do 16hrs a Riyaz, to trained non classical singers who were talented to autotune voices who find it difficult to sing their own songs. Why should a youngster aspire to be a singer and join this Bollywood Industry when she knows that she will be replaced in 5 days by an actress who pretends to be a singer?

I wouldn't really get upset over an actress who gets replaced at 40. Her job in a film is to look 25 and be the attraction for the male - so sure. But you don't see a meryl Streep or a Susan saradon getting replaced. Their roles change and they aren't as active as before... sure, nobody expects them to. Even we don't expect Shaan or sonu to sing the way they used to. But at the same time, they are 40 not 80. They are better singers than what we see today, that's for sure. So if a song of their caliber is made, they should be given a chance.
