why only piku/twmr even TDP is not taken into account.(for the same reason)

TDP, I guess has the highest opening day record among all the movies being discussed in this thread.

Why is this forum ignoring R Madhavan's stardom?

Look at his south hits. Then also how he featured is some moderately successful film like RHTDM & in prominent roles in Rang De Basanti, Guru, 3 Idiots. His Jodi Breakers & Saala Khadoos both opened at same rate as what Kangana's films open at now. Remember both of these were thrashed out by critics and ignored by industry unlike those Kangana films.

Tanu Weds Manu opened 3.5cr again for hit music and even R. Madhavan's appearance than rather Kangana who had 0 pull before then. TWM went onto be come a big success. TWMR carried same report.

Piku opened 5cr. Pink opened 4.2cr. Taapsee wasn't as famous then especially for a film like Pink . Big B films opened to 3cr even if it looked dull as Shamitabh or Te3n.

Though I agree that Jai Gangaajal should be replaced too. With Begum Jaan

Not a female centric film. Heroes were given big roles too..

Ragini MMS 2 though can be. But it's a sequel which I don't get why Jai Gangaajal made it to the list

When the movies of male actors are ranked, no one sees whether it has a famous actress or not. All the credit is given to the lead hero, though the actress too has some contribution to the earnings.
So why this biasedness towards the actresses??

Even if I excuse Piku and TDP since Emraan Hashmi was a bankable star at that time, and Big B has some face value.
But R. Madhavan is definitely not a Star.

How much TWMR collected in South?? TWM nett total was only 38 Crores. Why is Jai Gangajal in the list of sequels aren't allowed??

By this logic, Varun too shouldn't be credited for BKD opening since it was also a sequel and Alia too gave her contribution at box office.

None of the TOP 3 are HIT Films... Mary Kom was good film, don't know what ppl expect... it should have been clean hit.

That is what I always wonder. Take away Tube light collection from Sultan. Fan's collection from Dilwale. Will someone agree, that is the contribution of female star? (Immediately one would say, they were niche films).

Sometimes people say, star power is decided on first day/first week collection. One should examine the first day collection of these stars with and without the heroine to check the female contribution. But I am not tally expert. (There is one in the forum 😆).

Where is Aishwarya Rai's Jazba here? I have to agree, among the females, Kareena pulls maximum crowd. Be it heroine, or Ki & Ka. She is ahead of younger lot.

Wow nice list. Although sad to see Kahaani isnt there, it's my most fav BW movie ever and there wouldnt be a thing I'd want to change there.

Begum has been the max crowd puller in general. :D

Sad the new self-proclaimed megastar aint there 😭 Even Akira and Neerja are there !!
