He might also be posting this to avoid giving a yes or no answer. Because if he answers yes or no then people start speculating what that means. A no means obviously he's dead. But yes can mean that he's alive or that it'll be a double role or he'll come back as a ghost. And then you have a whole slew of speculation that can start from there.

Maybe the makers asked him to sign a confidentiality agreement because if you think about it none of the actors are saying anything about the show more than they need to. Or maybe he's just replying this on his own side so that he doesn't ruin the show.
