21/1/08 Monday Episode no 159

Recap: Ranga narrating to Sivakumar : "I saw my daughter,
my mother and my Goddess" - Ranga continues...Ranga wants
to know who she is and Megs counters him as to why he stood
in the railway track. Ranga deems this Q as a stupid one
" railway track le ethukku nippanga?? to commit suicide"
Megs is on advise mode " why do u resort to this at this age??
can't u wait for a while and let nature takes its own course???
Our living and death should be dignified. If u die now all the
people in the train will curse u..." Megs tries to show anger but
it just eludes her, she tries her best to move her hands in all
directions and shout.....

It is Ranga's turn now to call himself names " I am a fool,
if only I had a daughter like u, I would not have done this..."
Megs says that she has no one either and suggests that they
can be father/daughter and face life with gusto. Flashback is
over and we see Ranga in the car with auditor Siva. Ranga
says that they went back to B'lore and Megs took up a
salesgirl job. Supported him and always got back from work
all eager to see him. Awww, back to flashback.... Megs
bossing over Ranga and Ranga becoming all emotional...
Megs in the kitchen making strong coffee ( Roja wants
coffee...) Ranga sees that Megs has hurt herself and asks
her for the reason. Megs narrates that she entered some
house where there was a dog and she ran to save herself
et al... Ranga faints and Megs fusses....

Now we are tossed to the car where Ani and Megs are.. to
B'lore... Ani asks eagerly " apram enna aachu avarukku?"
Megs says that she never knew all his physical ailments
and only after she took him to the doctor, she got to know
all that. Ranga suffers from hypertension, diabetes etc., etc.,
and he has stopped taking medicines as he can not allocate
funds for such frivolous luxuries. Megs learns the truth and
feels bad that he did not tell her all this. Megs asks doctor
to prescribe all the medicines and promises to buy all of them.

They come out of the doctor's room and face a crowd who
are fighting with each other as to who gets to see the doctor
first. Malayalam and Tamil fighting - Megs pacifies(??!!)
both sides by speaking their tongue and all listen to her!!!
Megs further confronts the doctor about his inefficiency
and instructs him to implement token system. Doctor
complains that he could not find a girl to carry out the
tough task and of course Megs offers her services.
Negotiations are done and Megs wants her dad's
medicines to be taken care of. Doctor signs the contract
and well .. Megs has already started the work ... pacifying
the language fight and sending in the deserving to see the
doctor.

We are now back in Ranga's car - Ranga's narration
continues " the doctor liked Megs a lot and things were fine,
we were happy..' Auditor is bored and needs to say some thing
" u like Megs so much but her biological dad hates her, now I
know that the fault lies with Kalai only". Ranga becomes all
emotional about any one hating Megs.. and then goes on to
say that the doctor found a home nurse job for Megs. He
allowed her to go ahead as she does not have to roam in
the sun all day. One day he goes to see if Megs does her
job well and...

Episode 160 Tuesday 22/1/08

Recap of Ranga telling Siva about Megs'private nurse
job and how he went to look her up. Megs has to deal
with a mentally challenged lady - Megs is trying to feed
her and the lady is very unreasonable. Dodges Megs but
our heroine is patience personified. Just short of carrying the
lady in her hip, cajoles and feeds. The lady spits the food on
Megs' face but Megs is not angry. Goes on cajoling - the lady
suddenly feels bad about her action, dusts the idli particles
off Megs' face and has a soft expression. the man of the
house is touched by Megs' treatment of his wife. Goes on to
praise her " no one lasted this long, u have been here for the
past 6 months... U are some thing out of the world". Megs tells
him that she thinks of the lady as her sister. Ranga peeps in from
the threshold.

Now it is Ranga's turn to sing "Megs Puranam" - " my daughter,
my God, she is the best". The man is all emotional and tells
Megs that he will do any thing for her. Megs narrates the
"Ranga cheated by his partner"story , requests him to take
up the case and win back all Ranga lost. ( so, this guy is a famous lawyer)

We are back to Megs and Anitha in the car " Anitha, that lawyer
was so famous and fought for us. He got us back all we lost.
But dad was always interested in pleasing me - like a kid trying
to please his mom - we had a lovely time..." - we see the palatial
house where Megs lives... she is studying some thing ( must be a "combuter' course??) ... Ranga bringing coffee for her.... Megs
sitting in an office desk....

Megs at work - finds a cheque written wrongly - goes to the
manager and fights tooth and nail - the manager is rude - the
issue is that the sum should have been 1.6 lakhs but the cheque
shows 16 lakhs. Megs demands explanations and tells him that
Ranga employed them only because they are his relatives and it
is atrocious that they should be so irresponsible. The manager
deems it fit to slander her with " vellai tholukku mayangi antha kizhavan kudukkira idam than ivalai ipdi pesa solluthu"
( Roja was furious watching this - how is it that when it comes
to a woman every one targets her integrity?? And if Megs and
Ranga chose to have such a relationship , who can stop??)
Anyways, Ranga hears this and chucks out the manager...
Now Ranga and Siva in the car - Ranga goes on with the story
" the next morning brought all the relatives to my house and they demanded justice."..... flash back scene to Ranga's house - a whole load sitting in the drawing room and Megs is standing in a corner.
We see Devraj looking all cunning. The manager guy's dad is
offensive and tells Ranga that not just his son, the whole city talks about him and Megs the same way... Ranga gets angry, bends to
pick his slippers, Devraj tries to hold him....

Freeze ( just caught one trailer scene - looks like the car Ranga
is traveling meets with an accident - it swerves off the road..)

Wednesday 23/1/08 Episode No 161

Recap of Ranga's house - relatives shouting around.. Ranga
is looking for his slippers - a cunning Devraj pacifies - Megs
crying ( God, at last the director decided to spend on glycerin
again - saucers were of no use for some time now - Megs mind
read by yours truly 😳 ) Megs closes her face while crying...
Ranga pulls her in front of his relatives and declares that she is
his daughter and all the property belongs to her from now on ...
Megs crying... bingo..... Megs....crying.... ( Rojaaa enge ippo
saucers engennu sollu pappom - Megs challenging Roja!!)
well, the director has a different touch - Megs with Anitha in the
car is shown with her face covered by her hands.... Goes on to
narrate that she left Ranga and came away as she could not
tolerate the accusation... she was concerned about Ranga
feeling bad as well seeing her using her saucers every day
and the side plates occasionally .....

Ranga and Siva in the car... Ranga continues saying that Megs
ran away leaving a letter behind...both the cars speed in the
opposite directions ... Ranga's car stops for a tender coconut
water break... Siva sits in the front asking Ranga to relax at
the back ( Ranga got lucky because of this smart move by
Siva!!)..... speeding....Ranga sees a car coming head on, warns
the driver, car swerves and dashhhes against a tree. Megs
is coming the same way in the opposite direction ( but pulls
closer to the accident scene??!!) and they see the accident.
Anitha asks the driver to proceed but Megs takes a closer
look at the lying figure... some one is trying to feed some
water..... and yessss u guessed it right, Megs recognizes the
face and now it is time for the side plates ( come on Roja, this
is a shocking moment, if I can not use my side plates now, I
may not get another opportunity in the near future.. Roja The
Dialogue writer - RTDW for Megs!!! 😳😳)

Megs comes running to the scene ( Yes they cross the road -
the director did not slip 😳) Megs cries and cries and
cries.... ( money paid for this schedule is compensated!!) Ranga
opens his eyes, sees her and signals her to bring the brief case
from the car ( 50 lakhs, Roja's heart is beating like mad.... ayyo, Kannu, sezhi all are in danger, what if the money is lost..!!).
Megs tries to ignore but later deputes Anitha to bring the case
( hubbbaaaa Roja is relieved!!!) Megs goes on saying " nothing
will happen to you, appa appa" and finally seeks help to move
him to the hospital. Hospital corridor... Megs pushing the stretcher
with occasional " appa appa appa" s - Ranga wheeled in to ICU.
Megs crying and as a bonus keeps her mouth agape ( shhuu
Roja, how can she talk to Anitha otherwise??? un thollai thangalai
vara vara) - Tells Anitha that athai calling her unlucky could be
true after all... " see what happened to appa as I was rushing to
meet him " - ( Yemma, Azhugai thilagam, unakku positive thoughts varave varatha??? why don't u think like this- U were just on time
to get him to the hospital and save him??) The driver of Megs'
car comes with the brief case and a sad news that Siva and the
driver of Ranga's car died on the spot. Ranga is wheeled out
and the doctor consoles Megs saying that Ranga has escaped
with minor injuries. He is wheeled to another room and Doctor
orders Megs to wait outside. Anitha wants to know about Siva's
tel. no but alas, Megs has only the mobile no. More crying from Megs... a troubled Anitha.... Megs is considerate to the viewers and hides her face with her hands.....

Thursday 24/1/08 Episode No 162

Tlaga's house - Geetha, Kanakku's daughter is sitting inside -
worried about lover boy. Her dad comes and rings the bell.
Geetha does not hear it for a long time and opens at last!!
Kanakku wants to know as to what took her so long to open and Geetha tries to dilly dally.Finally asks dad about Sezhi and he
says that he does not have full info as well. He tells his daughter
that what ever said and done, they are always the employees of
the Kalai family and they can not expect to be let in to all the
family issues. He subtly reminds his daughter that she should not
go about asking everyone about Sezhi - " I know my daughter but others may talk bad about you and him".As he is leaving, Sezhi,
athai and Tilaga come back home.

Sezhi is brought inside and Kanakku briefs Tilaga about the latest problems. He wants her to meet the mesthry personally and request him to start work. Tilaga leaves asking Geetha to take care of
Sezhi. Athai goes in as well and the lovers are given some private moments. Geetha needs to assert that she has enough qualifications
to be a part of the Kalai family - cries her saucers out - " I could not
ask anyone about you, what happened?? blah blah.." Sezhi is tired and has been out of touch as well for more than 24 hours - no one to spread out the side plates as Megs has gone to B'lore!!! Geetha's crying irritates him - he ends up telling her that he is fine and that he does not want her to create a scene!!! There goes Geetha's concern for his health - she is on fight mode - " I have been worried sick and u think that it is creating scene?" - Sezhi has no energy left, concedes and
athai plays angel once again - calls Geetha inside!!!

Danda's house - Tamarai is in the portico with her newborn son resting in the cradle. She has big plans for the infant. " Padippellam vendam da yen singa kutty , 100 roobakku 80 rooba vatti vaanganum nee. Unakku na oru bank vaichu tharen, sariya?" Now Saravanan, who is busy cleaning the car gets interested and Tams is only too happy to layout her plans in the open -" aama, bank than, per kooda decide pannitten, Tamarai World Bank, epdi?" Sara is speechless. Bhoopathy comes and sits in a chair and Angu comes with coffee. Tams as usual chides Bhoo for his laziness and Angu drives her away. Slowly Angu tells Bhoo about Kannu - " she is not responsible for any thing that happened - Sakthi ran away and we got Kannu hooked to u, you never treated her well, if her dad took money, how can she be responsible?? when she comes back, you should be a good hubby" - Sara also joins periamma and requests Bhoo to reconsider. Bhoo shouts back saying that Kannu praised Diwa being a good SIL - Angu is quick to point out that though Diwa was not Kalai's choice, once the family got into trouble,he volunteered to help. Any one who extends a helping hand in times of need gets praised - looks like these sane and reasonable words are working on Bhoo.... Postman arrives and delivers a letter... All Angu's talks go down the drain.. yes, it is a summon from the court asking Bhoo to appear in the case lodged by Sakthi. Sara points out to Angu that Diwa was ready to withdraw the case but Bhoo challenged him that he will face the case. Angu is in tears...

Episode 163 Friday 25/1/08

Sakthi and Diwa - both are getting ready to leave. Nut is going to
the place where she was offered the job and plans to re-negotiate.
Diwa offers to drop her on the way. Both Diwa and FIL ask her
to keep the child in mind. As they come out, postman delivers the
court summons. Diwa is upset and dad consoles him saying that he
is not at fault. Dad asks him to consult a lawyer and find out if they
can withdraw the complaint in the court itself. When nut gets a
moment alone with hubby, she advises him against it -"now that
Kannu is missing, we need not show them any concern, what say?" Diwa does boom boom maadu " nee solrathu kooda sarithan"
( when are u planning to have a mind of your own??)

Danda's house: All are present: discussions on the court summons. Danda freaks out " from the time I got connected to that Kalai family
I have to put up with police, court etc., etc., Now I have to spend for petrol and roam around, who will pay for the fuel?" ( athu sari, that
is your only concern!! how about not contesting the case?? your
son can go the prison and that will save you money on his drinks,
food etc.?? and in the bargain, he might behave better when he gets out!!) Tams for her part, gets excited ( chance kidaichaa vidalamaa??) " on the girl seeing day, we rescued Bhoo from the police station.. and it is continuing. nalla edam parthinga ppa, police, case for every thing??? don't we send Pechimuthu annan and collect our dues nicely?? we do not go to the police!!" Sara intervenes " periappa, all the fault is with us. Kannu anni went all alone to the wine shop the day after her marriage and dragged a drunk annan home - I saw her accidentally and helped her out!! Diwa volunteered to withdraw the case but annan threw a challenge. Kannu anni has not spoken one word about annan" - this revelation halts Danda but Bhoo is all set to take it out on Sara. He hits Sara and calls him a servant. Tams joins Bhoo and insults some more. Bhoo pushes Sara out of the house. Danda, Angu and Amutha plead and ask him not to leave. But Sara leaves saying that he will come to take his mother after 2 days. Angu consoles Amutha.

Nut is back from office. PILs want to know why she is so early and nut is all set to insult MIL. She narrates the incident at the office - the lady boss drives her away saying that she can increase the population of India by one more citizen and be a docile DIL, they do not need any one like her - FIL consoles saying that she can get another job but Nut wants to have the last word -" when my people need assistance, I am not able to help, I am going to feel guilty for the rest of my life ( your concern is overwhelming, my dear!!! what happened to all this when u decided to run away on the eve of your marriage??? Your courage to attack your MIL is fabulous my dear, but why did this fail you when u wanted to tell your dad about Diwa and not wanting to marry Bhoo???!!) MIl is upset but keeps quiet. Diwa enters hurriedly with the news of Sezhi's hospital visit ( Anitha called , I believe!! pray what happened to her, Megs and Ranga?? she talks about Sezhi but does not talk about the bigger scenario??!!) wants to visit him at home but Nut decides to drive one more nail " I do not want to come, let me be just a DIL of this house, why should I care about my house?'- MIL is hurt and Fil consoles. Asks Diwa to go to Tilaga's place and find out about Sezhi.

Monday 28/1/08 Episode no 164

Hey guys, Pokkiri thambi is unavaliable to do today's update as he is suffering from hand pain. Take plenty of rest thambi payya. Hence, I'm doing the update on behalf for him. This is my first ever time of watching this serial as normally I read the updates and I must say the ending is on a cliffhanger. I may not know all the characters name and i might give description to help you. Therefore, if i make any mistakes could you please correct them for me. It will be a pleasure. Overall the serial was flooded in tears and anger.

Scene 1

Its the start of the new week in reality but, we see Megala crying her eyes out filled with raindrops. (Oh No! Tamil Nadu is going to flood soon, remember sandbags are needed soon.) Alias, her friend Atina is consoling her not to cry.

The nurse comes and enquires which person is Megala. As her stranded and injured father wants to see her. Atina and Bucket tears Megala charge into the ward where her father is lying injured. For a few minutes an emotional reunion happens between the father and daughter (Seriously, more buckets are needed, Usha is getting annoyed of this. We didnt want this reunion to sob for a long time 😡).

The father tells Megala to take the money i.e. 50 laks which, suppose to be given to the auditor. He advises her to rescue her sister Crying Camini (Kamini😳) and solve her problems. Then, the father tells her why didn't you tell me of your situation you are facing. Maybe you didnt tell me due to pressures around you. Megala keeps on sobbing and sobbing.

Then he enquires about the other person, who was in front of him as he feels sorry for the other other. (Not aware I think he's dead by the looks of Megs and Anitas face. They looked as they just saw a zoombie 😛) Anita had then the courage to lie and tell him he's perfectly allright and is normal condition and Megs repeats the same suit as well. The father says thank god and then tells Meg to rescue her sis and then solve her matters with the money.

Doctor comes with nurse and scolds the girls not to create a stage. He explains the father will go to his native place Bangalore and all the arrangements are done there. He will leave within a couple of days. Megs continutes crying and Atina drags her out of the ward. (Seriously this was a drag scene.🤢)

Scene 2

Now we see Diwa telling his problems to Thaliga (I think thats the name of Shouting Sakthi's mother) that guy who got his head hited and bandaged. Thaliga then, tells Diwa that Sakthi is missing out her lovely in-laws family and supportive and pure gentleman husband and lecture continutes on about Sakthi's character. Then a girl called Geeta comes and gives Diwa tea. He is introduced to her. Thaliga says we now realised which people are lovely and horrid.

In a twist of faite, Thaliga decides to meet Sakthi soon and advice her to deliver the baby and stay at home. Diwa encourages her not to come as problems could arise beyound water levels and cracks can appear within them (But again, why bother telling your story to your mother in law you silly boy!😕). Diwa leaves and bandaged boy enquires to his mummy where Meg and Atina are as they havent called. Thaliga says, she will phone and he tells her the phone is in the charger.

Scene 3

We continute with the crying scene and consoling of Atina. Meg weeps out her inner motion about how her father used to come to her whatever problems she faced but, now she just left him halfway (Trust me dear, it will a good idea. But then you have other problems to solve but not to cry.) Atina tells her you have said this numerous times and Megs cries and cries like a month old child. (Cheez! I was getting fed of her crying.)

Ring Ring Ring... Atina phone rings and it's Meg's dearest mother. Before picking the phone Atina advises her dear crying buckets friend not to tell the matter and speak normally. Atina answes the phone and then passes to Meg. Thaliga scolds her why she didnt answer the phone whlist, Meg recovers from her crying and Thaliga spots the difference of her voice and enquires it. She tells its the signal reception problem that's why (Sign problem, Reception. You floney clown you have been crying for the whole day. 😡). Meg explains she will arrive tomorrow and the money is coming on its way. Thaliga is relief about this and tells Sakthi's matter. After the phone call Meg cries and Atina consoles with frustration.

Scene 4

Well Saravanan comes to the hospital to see his friend Siva. Then, he sees him and explains that he needs a house as he has an argument with someone. Then, Siva explains to him to come within 2 days. Sara then stands by the door and Kamini is in the ward and ward boy Siva changes the sheet and turns of Siva looking into the ward with a shocked face.

Episode No 165 - Tuesday 29/1/08

Recap of Sara with his friend, Siva in the hospital. Sara is outside and Siva changes the bed linen - we hear Kannu's voice - the asthmatic breaths - and Siva deems it fit to keep the door open - free for all - but Sara fails to spot Kannu in spite of stealing a few glances!!! Thyagu walks in and taps(??!!) Sara on the shoulder - "yaar ra nee?" - Sara says that he is waiting for Siva and Thyagu has a valid Q - "friend nna patient kitte unakku enna velai?" - doles out a few dharma adis to his man and sends him on an errand. The servant lady walks in with a change of dress - Siva and Sara scoot and Sara wants to know the details of Thyagu - Siva says that he is a dada and is here because a girl known to him is admitted. Sara has the wisdom to ask "dada kku hospital le enna velai?" ( dada kku than hospital le neriya velai, eppo parthalum adi thadi nna doctor um koodave venum thane!!) Siva takes Sara for a cup of tea. Ani and Megs sleeping in the back seat and the car is speeding. ( 50 lakhs money ai vaichindu epdi thoonga mudiyum???) cheque aa iruntha kooda ennale thoonga mudiyaathu, ithu hard cash!!) Car pulls to a side - driver checks out some thing (ozhunga thane odithu!!) Megs wakes up ( well, the next session of crying is over due!!!) and asks Ani " enna Anitha?" ( Ani has a crystal ball or must be a kodaangi with vethilai and mai 😳) - Ani asks the driver and he says that the fan belt is cut. ( there was a lot of traffic and suddenly, there is not even an eee or kakkai on the road!!) Both get down leaving the brief case in the car and driver says that he will go and get a new belt. Driver leaves. Both the dumbos are standing outside. Ani calls the doctor and Megs comes to know that Ranga has been sent to B'lore and all is well with him. Megs cries some more
( Ranga kku onnum aagalai Anitha vu vuvu vu vuv... apdi yethanum aana na innum oru 20 episodes kku azhalaame vu vuvu.. chance poche vu vu vu ) Also tells Ani that both auditor Siva and the car driver have been taken care of and cries some more saying " any one who loves me has to leave me, vithi, neram vu vu vu" - Ani has had enough - " u saved Ranga in time, others are not your responsibility, stop crying, pleaseeee" ( awww , Anitha, Roja has all her sympathy for u - watching this makes Roja sick, u have to hear, watch and console!! her heart goes out to u my dear, do they pay u enough for all this torture??) At last the women move to the back seat of the car ( panam irukkO illiyO??? Megs azhutha neram parthu yaaravathu kilappi yiru- kkalaam!!) They are near the back door.........

Tilaga lands at Nut's house - Durga is outside and the moment she sees Tilaga, her eyes show shock" ayyo da villangam veedu thedi varathe??" - ( Diwa amma kitte sollaliyaa??? athai kitte Nut ai pathi ellam sonnathai??) In spite of the cold look from Durga, Tilaga braves in. Finally, Durga extends a welcome and calls hubby for support. After the initial "yes coffee,no coffee" Diwa joins the fray and calls out to nut - nut descends down the stairs, sees mommy, comes to her calling 'ammaaaaa" and Tilaga is all set to explode -" do not call me amma" and goes on to advise a dazed nut. : u do not know how lucky u are. Even if we had searched all over the globe, we may not have found
a golden hubby like yours for u ( aww, we know that only too well, Tilaga, look at what u guys did to Kannu!!) And your in -laws are such gems ( do not miss the glow in Durga's face) We do have monetary problems but we do not want you to abort the baby and give us money.Look at Kannu, what a life she has??? ( nut cringes at the thought of Bhoo and the rest do too) Our money problems will get sorted out, your dad will come back but if u abort, u can never get that baby back, behave yourself, ok?" ( u are just a bit late Tilaga, just 15 yrs behind schedule!!! belated advice, well better late than never, what say??) Finally, Tilaga finishes her 3 pages monologue and takes leave ( awww, u underestimate your daughter madam, now Diwa and family
will have their Diwali, Pongal, Karthikai and New year Eve celebs together!!!) The family throws meaningful glance at nut and leaves - Nut is boiling with anger ( pOttu kuduthiyaa Diwa, irukku da unakku.... It is surprising that Tilaga dealt this issue in the most annoying way!! She should know her daughter and must know how to put it across!! or was it her intention that she agitates nut more??!!! Talk about upbringing!!Tilaga did what her parents did to her years back - doling out the wrong advice must be a family trait!!! But she made sure to impart knowledge on the use of saucers and side plates!!!)

Some temple - we see athai praying ( aww i missed u athai, in spite of your acid tongue, u do say/do the right things at the right times!!) aha ha ha, Danda is there too... along with some one else (Roja sits up... fire works on the cards😳😳) a smiling Danda....gets prasadam from the priest.......gives 5 lakhs to the other guy..athai is going around the prakaaram..... the guy is happy to receive money from the great Danda.....praises Danda.. Danda is flattered but deems it fit to give the credit to Lord Muruga....... bingo atthai barges in with a " vilangidum ..." Danda's friend wants an intro then and there... Danda is reluctant but athai can freeze a volcano... ignores Danda's warning of get lost ... pities the borrower " ayyo ipdi yemanthu poviyaa nee?? Kuberan will become kovanthu aandi if he borrows from Danda, apdi oru raasi.." Danda threatens her but athai in unfazed " truth hurts, eh??" and goes on to address the other guy " I pity you man, why borrow from this fellow??" also goes on with the business secrets of Danda - the interest structure et al - Danda intervenes and brands athai as a "muthi pona loosu" ... aha ha, athai goes on her usual "thambiyai pole oru deivam illai" and says that her thambi went bankrupt only because of borrowing from Danda and had to abscond.( Kalai's business acumen gets no credit for good or bad!!) Athai insists on how their family is stranded in the nadu theru now and goes on to talk about Kannu being ill treated in Danda's house. Also complains about Kannu's where-
abouts ( ennavo periya police officer kitte application pOdara mathiri) and finally ends up with Danda's raasi. Danda is livid with anger and warns athai about loosing her respect ( apdi pOdu, inimel thaana???) but athai urges the other guy to ask for the truth. If u do not pay the money u borrowed, he has a spectacled bekku at home who will come and sit in your house until u give the money, paavam ya nee" Danda wants to exit but athai does not allow such great escape!! By now there is a crowd - having fun - athai wants Danda to promise in front of God that all she said was not true and goes on to say that she
is ready to promise " un kaiyaale panam kadan vanginavan evanum nalla irukka maattan". Danda is furious - " I kept quiet because my money is at stake but no more.. none in your family can live in peace from now on ".... Athai has no qualms " we have no peace even now, thanks to you"... Danda storms out leaving behind the other guy who holds on the prasadam plate with the cheque.. and athai doles out a parting shot "antha aal kitte kadanaa?? nee doomed pOyya, yr life is finished"... the guy runs for his life and athai is fuming still....

30/1/08 Wednesday Episode no 166

Tilaga is back home. Sezhi is sitting on the bed with a head
ache. Geetha gets a chance to see him with hot water and
gives him the tablet as well. Geetha has the wisdom to ask
" enge valikkuthu?"Sezhi says that all over the body but the
head ache is real bad. Geetha joins athai's club - curses Megs
for discharging Sezhi in a hurry and goes on to say that Megs
is the reason for all this. Sezhi is all angry and says " one more
word about Megs... u are doomed" - Tilaga sends Geetha to
buy some oil... Megs arrives (much to the relief of Roja.. with
the brief case!!!) mommy welcomes and Ani opens the brief
case and shows the money ( hubbbaaaaaa Roja heaves a
sigh of relief!!!) Tilaga and Sezhi can not believe their eyes
( Roja koodathan - Megs will loose it nnu Roja was all set to
console herself!!) Now, Megs narrates Ranga's story and
when Megs comes to the auditor Siva part Tilaga says an
"ayyo" ( nalla kaalam, neeyavathu ipdi oru reaction uduthiye..
mmmm) Megs grabs the chance to cry and leans on the wall.
Tilaga is too stunned to cry ( must have had some pity on us ,
I guess - one pair of side plates is enough for this scene -
paavam ellarum pozhaichi pogattum!!) Megs does the hand
act as well - moves the hands to assert her acting skills
( pathetic show!!) - goes on to say that Ranga wanted her to
sort out her problems with the initial amount and at laaaassttt
Megs feels bad about the auditor's death. Goes on to say that
all her bad luck rubbed on Siva ( this woman wants to be the
center of every thing!!! She thinks that the world revolves
around her luck, time, fate etc., etc., , Megs, every one has a
life of their own and fate of their own!!) Ani quickly points out
that it is sad about Siva but Megs did not kill him. She also
tells her to attend to the immediate problem get Kannu back,
ok?" Ani has office work and so Megs decides to go with
mommy. Ani gives a parting advice " do not show the money
first, get to know about Kannu fully and then part with
the money,ok??" Megs locks the money in the cupboard
and hands the key to mommy for safe keeping - goes for her
bath. Geetha arrives and Tilaga makes sure to tell her about
the money and its location. Sezhi tells Geetha that he is to
sleep as he has taken a sleeping pill ( ayyo ayyo, panam
thirudu poga poraatha??? saguname sariyaa illiye 😲 😔 Roja
is worried...)

Danda's house - Amutha is sitting in the terrace and
crying. Pechimuthu and Angu in conversation. They see
a crying Amutha ... Angu consoles... Amutha goes on to chide
Sara " having eaten in this house for so long, why did he react
like that??" Angu feels bad about Sara's leaving and wants
to know why Amutha did not stop him. Amutha says that what
Bhoo said is not right and she can not expect Sara to be patient
like her. Even now, she can pacify and bring Sara back but he
will never be able to live here with out feeling bad. Pechimuthu
chips in saying that Danda has said much more than this and he
quit the house. Angu asks him not to compare himself with
anyone else. " u can enter any house, eat, sleep,bathe there
until u collect the money - maanam ketta pozhaippu" Pechi
is unperturbed " aww, panam vasoolikka enna venalum
pannalum" Angu says that all those curses make them suffer
now. Danda enters angrily. Orders Pechi to pack his bags and
go to Kalai's house ( aha ha villangam than Ranga voda 50
lakhs enge porathunnu purinjitha my fellow sufferers??!!
Kannu chellam, unakku innum konja naal Thyagu than body
guard !!!! hmmm) " do not come back with out the money, do
more than u normally do, ok???" Pechi doubles up and Angu
tries to stop. Danda is fuming and talks about meeting the ghost
in the temple. Talks about athai's drama and furiously orders
Pechi. Pechi has his bag ready, asks for food from Amutha and
when she hesitates packs it himself ( for how long?? what if u
don't get the money for a week???) Pechi leaves and Angu frets.
Asks Danda to worry about Kannu but Danda cares two hoots.
" I have given the money and I stand to be insulted as well??
no way. Antha kudumbathai undu illainnu pannittu than maru
velai" storms out. Angu and Amutha knead their hands in
desperation.

Megs and Tilaga - Arrive at Thyagu's place - no brief case and
so no money ( Roja now knows the sequence😳) Thyagu's hench-
men refuse audience - orders mom and pappa to leave. Megs
says that she wants to discuss about Kannu and they say that
they will inform annan when he comes. Megs seeks support
from mommy and mommy is only too willing to go on the
emotional trip " u all do have mom, sis, daughter... we are
worried about Kannu, plsss" - the henchmen do not relent.
Megs says that the money is ready and the men immediately
exchange looks but still drive the duo saying that only annan
can talk about all this. The duo beg to see Kannu once but the
men push them out of the gate. The duo leave and the men
decide to call Thyagu. Kannu in bed. maid by the side....
Thyagu arrives with his entourage... talks with the nurse
who says that the dr. is expected any time and after that
Kannu will be discharged. Thyagu dispenses with the maid
and taps Kannu on the shoulder" suicide squad, get up"
Kannu begs him to release her and Thyagu tells her to shut
up " satham potta, dead body aa veliye kondu poiduven. athu
sari, u and your sis.. enna arai loosaa?? She opposes me with
out knowing my strength and u attempt suicide??? we had to
beat your bro... my men had to jump and hit as your bro is tall...
he is also here only.. u both made the issue worse by all your
actions... no noise, ok.." Dr arrives and Thyagu doles out
advice to Kannu " u just have one life and why do u do
such things???" Dr. wants to know about he advising episode
and Thyagu says that he has to impart the knowledge on
"nallathu- kettathu" to the younger generation. Doctor dis-
charges Kannu and Thyagu is happy. Orders his men "pappa
vai pottanam kattunga da" but Kannu is just made to walk with
the body guards on either side. As she walks, we see Sara
talking to his friend Siva .... yesssss Sara has a look at
Kannu's face...he says "anni" ( I heard it as Kannu😳😳😳)

31/1/08 Thursday Episode no 167

Recap from yesterday – Sara seeing Kannu going with
Thyagu and Co....calling out 'anni"….. Kannu has a dis-
tressed expression ( just to show Sara that all is not
well?!!) and enters the lift.. Sara runs to the lift but the
door closes. He runs down the stairs. Kannu walks with
the body guards and looks back at regular intervals as if
she knows that some one is following her (Ka vaa vaa
Saravana vaa vaa, Kannu vai ka vaa Saravanaa – BG music
by Roja) Kannu and Co get in to the car and drive away..
Sara runs behind calling Kanmani Kanmani…….. in vain.
Siva comes and asks Sara about his sprinting spree and Sara
asks Siva back " do u know who that is??" (Kalyanathukku
invitation kuduthiyaa Saravanaa???!!) Siva talks about Thyagu
and says that the girl was brought to the hospital as she had
attempted suicide. Sara gets more agitated and says" suicide
aa??? Aa, that is my anni da, let me inform home about this
first" – runs for a phone?? Home may be??? Tilaga and
Megs on the road and Tilaga steals Megs' dialogue " Ippo
enna Megs panrathu?" Megs does not like being at the
answering end and so replies by " I too do not know" –
they walk. Thyagu gets a phone call informing about Megs'
visit to his house. Thyagu tells vakil thambi about the news
" vakil thambi, ivanga akka "abinaya sundari" ( ada,intha
per nalla irukke, thanks Thyagu, Roja will use it appro-
priately!!) has got the money, I believe. How is it possible?"
Vakil with his advocating acumen negates the possibility
and Thyagu prefers to hear it from the horse's ( filly??)
mouth. Calls Megs and wants to know as to where she
got the courage to go and shout at his men. Megs defends herself
saying that she just wanted to make Thyagu richer by another 50
lakhs and release Kannu, (BG, here is the answer for your Q -
40 lakhs + interest to Danda. 50 lakhs to Thyagu – all other
debtors must be petty – in the range of 10 – 25 lakhs only!!!)
Thyagu doubts the money part and wants to know as to how she
managed. Megs does not see the necessity to sing "Rangayanam"
and so evades the Q –" money..... deliver where?? Kannu give??"
Thyagu " in one hour, my house,ok?" Megs wants to talk to
Kannu and Thyagu lets Kannu say a wheezing…akka. Tilaga
and Megs get an auto to take them to Porur-(oh ange
than vaasamaa??) Megs wants the auto to fly but Madras
traffic is a force to reckon, say what???

Athai storms in – after her fire works in the temple. Wants to
change her saree and finds the cupboard locked. Asks Geetha
as to why "athunga" locked the cupboard – " 50 , 100 ellam
lock panra nilamai, hmmm" – finds the duplicate key ( clever
woman , had it stashed away safely) opens the cupboard anddd
sees the brief case with money. When she sees so much money,
she is all startled – asks Geetha for details who has no clue.
Athai gauges it to be around 40- 50 lakhs ( avanga yaaru??
Panathile porandavanga lache, thambiyai pol oru… Roja do
not digress or get carried away..) and forgets about dress
change. Bingo ... lands our "kannadi potta bekku" ( thanks
athai for the nomenclature, u rock) and enters an open house.
Spreads his mat on the floor, right in the center of the
drawing room., settles comfortably and then calls out
"veetle yaarunga?" Athai barges out and ends up in
verbal war. " yaar veet le yaar thangarathu? Kodalai
uruvi veliye erinjuduven, poyya veliye" Pechi : " neenga
yethai venaa uruvunga, panam varaame inge vittu nagara
maatten. Tharatharm pathi kadanai thiruppi kudukkara-
vanga then pesanum, not u" – Athai is all agitated,
goes in and grabs the brief case ( Rojaaaaa, karu naaku di
unakku, Kannu innum konja naal Thyagu guest nnu entha
nerathile sonniyO??) Geetha tries to stop her but athai is all
set to shoo away Pechi. Athai shows the money to Pechi and
he wonders about their sudden riches –"panam illai illai nnu
sonnanga, epdi ithu?" However, he is happy to see the money
and packs his belongings in a jiffy. Athai carries the money
with her until the threshold, to the portico ohhh she follows him
to Danda's house?? Pechi makes sure that it is not fake money
and leads athai out. Geetha feebly goes behind saying amma
amma … in vain – she does her "hand on head act"
(ayyo Megs, auto karan kavuthuttane, konjam seekiram
vara koodatha??? Roja is so influenced by this serial,
deems it fit to use her saucers awww no crying just
exclaiming!!!)

Athai arrives with bekku to Danda's house. Bekku wants
auto fare but athai wants the auto guy to wait. Enters shouting
"yeey, Dandapani, vayya veliye " - looks like athai wants to
settle accounts in the portico itself so that the auto guy can
be a witness!! - Danda rushes out followed by Tamarai who
can smell money even if it is 10 miles away. Danda is
unhappy about athai calling him by his name but athai
throws the brief case at Danda and upholds the honor of her
brother. The money spills all over and she asks Pechi to
pick the whole thing - Pechi obliges gladly. Amutha and Angu
arrive on the spot - Athai uses her index finger judiciously
and informs Danda that all his money is there - " not a penny
more, not a penny less" - goes on to blast Danda " u sent this
bekku to demean us and collect the money, did u?" Danda
has no qualms about accepting that, "so what??" Pechi is
busy picking up but does not forget to boast that their tech-
nique always works!!! Athai is in top form " Bekku, your
time is good, I had money when u came. If not by now u would
be dead meat and the worms in the septic tank would have
had a good feast. Danda, now that your money is settled, not
a word about my family or my brother... beware" (Tams is
speechless - funny to see her like this!!) Athai goes on " your
money is back to you, where is my niece??? Get her to me
this minute". Danda is floored but manages to keep afloat.
" just because u have given the money, u gloat??? as if we
have your niece hidden some where??" Athai is all set to
tear Danda apart - yes, when we were all pining about our
daughter, all u could talk was about money, now I have the
right to ask for my niece, get her NOW" Tams has found
her tongue and pooh poohs athai's feat " u just returned the
loan and that too after a long time, how can u talk like this?
Do not jump to "vaanam and bhoomi". We gave our money
and we asked for it." Athai now has a basic doubt and so asks
Tams" nee ponna di?? unnaiyum oru ponnu nnu pethu valatha-
ngale ivangalai sollanum." Turns to Danda again "ponnai pesa
vittu vedikkai pakkariye, nee oru manushanaa??" Danda has
no such doubts - he tells athai that he is patient only because
she is a woman - Angu tries to hold Danda and tries to pacify
him but the heat is too much!!! Athai has some valid arguments-
" u have your money now, but u bad mouthed us so much and
made our Kannu cry for ever, can u set right all those tortures??"
Danda has no answer - athai goes on to say that Bhoo pushed
Kannu from the car and killed her. (Sara phone pannu ppa, Kannu
is alive nnu ellarum therinjikkattum) Athai wants Kannu alive.
Talks about complaining to the police to find her but Danda
lodged a complaint saying that Kannu ran away with some one -
Danda tries to defend sonny boy ...... it goes on like "un kuthamaa,
yen kuthamaa" for a while ...... Tams chips in her woes.....athai
gives an ultimatum -" my bro should come back and our Kannu
should come back as well, if not... your whole house will become
a mortuary.." storms out ( auto guy irukkanO illiyO!!) Pechi
has finished picking up the currency, Angu curses Tams and
confronts Danda " what athai said is all correct. what are we
going to do about Kannu?Danda tries to show a brave front
and passes the blame to Kalai's family about not taking any
effort in searching for Kannu- he frees himself from that charge
Danda suspects athai - "she has Kannu with her and blaming us
unnecessarily." Pechi jalras Danda - " in my service, I have
never seen a woman like her" - (he conveniently forgot Tams!!
Danda wants Pechi to count the money and settle the accounts.
All leave the arena leaving behind a worried Angu and Amutha
