Judwaa 2 Trailer launch: Varun Dhawan yet again apologises for his Nepotism remark

IIFA 2017 which was held in New York City had its share of controversy when the hosts Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan along with Varun Dhawan took a sly dig at Kangana Ranaut by chanting "Nepotism Rocks".
Soon after that, Varun took to his Twitter page and apologised for his act. He said, "I express my apology and regret .. I am extremely sorry if I have offended or hurt anyone with that act.."
Today, at the trailer launch event of Judwaa 2, Varun was again asked about the N-word and that controversy. To which he replied, "What I had to say about that issue I have said. We are one fraternity and our job as a fraternity is to entertain people and not hurt anyone. If I have hurt anyone, I apologise."
Earlier, Karan had also apologised after the controversial episode. He stated to a leading TV channel, "Of course I don't believe that nepotism rocks'. Of course, I believe that only talent rocks. If anything that rocks, it's your talent, hard work and conviction. It's the energy you bring to your job. What we said was meant to be a joke, which I think has been misplaced, misunderstood and I think it went wrong. I regret it."
He added, "The idea of that joke was entirely mine, so I take the onus of the idea of what we said. And I think we went a bit too far with the Kangana mention."
Whereas Saif said, "To me, at IIFA it was just a joke and nothing more to be read into. But now I feel had we given it more thought, we could've really finished this ongoing public discourse on nepotism more decisively."
