Vinit,

I am glad you were able to kick the habit. Only way to kick the habit is to go cold turkey. I am sure It must have taken alot on your part to be that strong. So congrats to you 👏

possibly you werent at a point where quitting was too difficult.. So it doesnt mean you have either been a chain smoker or a compulsive alcoholic.. since, without exceptions it always involves... close supportive therapy (AA) and medical support not the same as saying been there done that...😊.. I am not sure if you are trying to say that "I wanna leave" and bam there I am...free from addiction... Nicotine patches is another therapy for de-addiction...

All said.. if something is to the point of addiction.. its not easy to get away from that.. and if you can get away easilly you can believe you were lucky and not at all addicted after all.. I have seen the tremors, sweating and the terrible withdrawal symptoms of alcoholic. actually my uncle..

Sareg... Valid point!! don't have first hand on it but after thinking about it...and watching A&E ...and emphasis on relapses... if someone doesn't decide on thier own nothing can help...

If individual decides to quit anything...his whole physical self will support it ... easy said and done but thats the only way out as far as addictive substances are concerned. Pray everyone gets that strength... or inner call 😳

Heard a promo about this show coming up on VH1.

"Celebrity Rehab" is the first television series to chronicle the dramatic, unscripted real life experiences of a group of actual celebrities as they make the life-changing decision to enter themselves into a drug, alcohol and addiction treatment program with the sincere desire to achieve true rehabilitation and recovery.

This compelling true account of addiction, healing, and redemption is being supervised with great compassion and insight by renowned addiction and recovery expert Dr. Drew Pinsky, Medical Director of the Department of Chemical Dependency Services at Southern California's Las Encinas Hospital, and host of the long-running radio and television advice series LOVELINE".

This inspirational journey begins inside one of Southern California's private addiction and recovery treatment facilities, the Pasadena Recovery Center, where a group of well-known celebrities make the brave decision to commit themselves to a legitimate protocol of supervised medical treatment over a period of several weeks At every step in
this challenging process, viewers at home will witness the real true life struggles of these celebrity patients, who ultimately appear in their sincerest human form as regular people in need of a helping hand and earnestly striving for recovery, health and future happiness.

@you were able to quit so you werent one😆

sorry Qwerty FYI, there isnt a membership out there for smokers or alcoholics or drug addicts, you either are one or you arent one😆

nicotine patches/AA memberships rehab clinics aid you in the mental resolve, they are your support group. It is not the support group who is quitting it is you yourself😆
